Calming Presence

You're about to go off the rails. No, no "about," actually. You've left that train track fair behind, and you're crazy. Rage fills every inch of you, and there's no doubt you're about to do something dangerous, stupid, or reckless. Or all three. There's only one person who can calm you down: your partner. Now, they're using closeness, reassurance, or physical intimacy to remind you what really matters, which is the two of you. Surely, this will bring you back, letting the anger ebb out and you'll be able to think straight again, even if your lover was the actual cause of all this mess. Won't it? Surely you won't direct your wrath towards them, no matter what. It's rare for see a man like Eadwulf lose his temper. He's a cold, controlled man. But today is not one of those days. Right now, Wulf has slipped his self-imposed chains. There's a truly feral look on his face, a low snarl in his throat. There's sparks running up his arms, following the maze of tattoos and scars. His sword is already in his hand.

There's only a few things that could set off Wulf this badly. Set him off enough that he backslides. He'd been doing so well not defaulting back to the beast that he had been forged to be. Only when his people were in deep danger that might push Eadwulf over the edge and back to the coldly brutal Scourger. It doesn't matter if it's Astrid or Caleb or even Essek himself. His people and the protection of his people means everything for him. He'll slaughter anyone or anything that hurts them.

She hasn't spoken to him in a while. And now, the sudden dispelling of so many long standing magics has only exacerbated his worry and agitation. There's now a looming threat that has to be erased. He doesn't have a plan for it other than to get in, cut his way to his target and then cut his way back out. He isn't the planner. That's the other wizards' jobs. His plan is simply going on a bloody tear.

Only, he doesn't have access to high level teleportation magic. His normal means of teleportation via permanent circle has been deeply interfered with. But he has to go. He has to absolutely make absolutely certain that a specific prisoner never gets out of his deep dark hole. He doesn't even care that doing so would make him into a fugitive, Eadwulf is going to go on a truly brutal tear as soon as he can get Essek to agree to Teleport him where he needs to go. After all, he can't ask Astrid or Caleb. They already suffered enough by keeping that man alive. Let only him deal with the repercussions of this specific blood on his hands.

"I need to get to Rexxentrum. Now." With no plan. With just a sword, his limited spells, and a whole lot of rage.
