1. A Bad Date - You get a text, a phone call, or maybe you can just see the other person floundering on what clearly must be the worst date of their life. Time to step in and save the day.
2. Prison - Maybe they've been wrongly convicted, or maybe you're an accomplice. Either way, it's jailbreak. Maybe the guards will fall for the old 'wounded prisoner' technique.
3. Taken Hostage - They're being held at gunpoint, either for money or for fun. Maybe you can talk down their captors, or maybe you are a captor, secretly working to help them.
4. Abuse/Neglect - Your body is damaged, your suffering taken it's toll. You can't save yourself anymore. You're wounded, you're starving, maybe even dying. Someone, help.
5. Addiction - Just one more. Nothing bad will happen if you just get one more. Either way, you can't save yourself from this downward spiral. Someone else is going to have to help.
6. Yourself - One bad choice after another, your self-destructive tendencies are going to get the best of you unless someone steps in, quick, to save the day.
7. Climactic Situation - You're hovering over an active volcano, a pit of sharks, about to fall off a cliff. Whatever it is, you've only got precious seconds of life left.
8. Loneliness - You've been secluded, locked away, and the emptiness is overwhelming. You need company, or you might just drown.
9. Unwanted Social Function - A family reunion, your three o'clock board meeting, whatever it is, you desperately don't want to go. Hopefully your good buddy can come up with a distraction.
10. A Bad Romance - You're trapped in a relationship that's headed south, and you can't seem to get away from the other person. Looks like you need a helping hand, maybe a prince charming.

Ah, alright then! We can ask Nakuru in the art room, and if she accepts, I can take her to Maki's studio.

[Tohko returned the smile as she spoke and walked into the school and started to head up one flight of stairs.]

Nakuru meets them in the doorway of the art studio, replete with paint-smeared smock.] Eriol-kun~! [A kiss to the cheek, then her attentions turn to the girl with him.] Tohko-chan, right~? The book club president! [Clearly Nakuru is not anywhere close to as formal as her 'companion'.]

Nakuru, Amano-san here has a friend who enjoys painting live models in various outfits. I thought you might like that. [The red-head's eyes light up and she claps her hands together.] Ooh, modeling! Are they cute outfits? Surely they are, if they're being painted! Do I get to wear a frilly dress? I look so good in girly things! [Yes, this seems like it will go well.]

[When Nakaru spoke to her, Tohko smiled and nodded.]

Yup! I'm Tohko Amano, president of the book club!

[That made her puff her chest out with pride, but..it wasn't like there was really much on her chest to make it look formidable. However, at the questions, Tohko had a feeling that she would be able to avoid payment..at least, for now.]

They are! You'll probably have to wear a maid outfit, cat ears, and other things like that. If you're interested, it would really help me out if you went to Maki!

Oh, you're so cute! [Nakuru gushes. With Tohko's description, the older girls eyes light up.] Yay! Are we going now~? [Now the only thing to worry about is whether Nakuru will take the outfit off afterwards and give it back. ]

[Tohko didn't usually get complimented on her looks, so when she was, it was always a good day for her. At Nakuru's enthusiasm, Tohko couldn't help but chuckle.]

Yup! You'll have to give the clothes back at the end though, alright? And if Maki asks you to pose nude, say no, alright?

I guess if I have to give them back~, I will. [She doesn't seem surprised by the idea that someone might ask her to pose nude, and with a finger to her lips, she gives a little nod.] Mmn. Okay, let's go! [The tall girl pushes her way between Tohko and Eriol, slipping a hand under each arm. She stops, then seems to remember something before running back into the art room. Off comes the smock, and she picks up her school bag. She slings it over her shoulder, and resumes her position between the two. Eriol carefully readjusts his books with a little smile.] Amano-san, if you wouldn't mind leading the way?

It's alright! Things like that happen sometimes! Don't worry about it! :3

[..Which isn't much. It was just nice to hear when it did pop up. However, while it was good to hear that Nakuru would give the clothes back and would be careful around Maki, she wasn't quite expecting the girl to push her way between them. Not that she really minded..it was just unexpected. At Eriol's suggestion, Tohko nodded.]

Oh, sure! Maki's art room is right next to the orchestra hall, so we'll have to go there.

[And down the stairs they went.]

And then I accidentally a two week hiatus. /rolls over and diiiesss

[The red-haired girl is almost absurdly cheerful, a little hum escaping now and then in her rare moments of not talking. Eriol seems entirely unperturbed by the questions about how his day has been and her going on about the cute guys in her class. Nakuru then turns her attentions to Tohko again, admiring her very long hair and wondering how long it takes to brush out and braid, and whether she ever does anything different with it. The upperclassmen seems more than a bit vapid, and hyper besides, but nice enough. Eriol is quiet on the way to the art room except to gently, and in good humor, suggest that Nakuru not overwhelm their new schoolmate.]

It's alright! I'm sick and in the middle of exam week, so I understand how you feel. ><;

[While they walked out of that building and wandered over to the huge orchestra hall, Tohko listened to Eriol and Nakuru's conversation before replying to the flurry of questions: it didn't take much time to brush and braid, since she was used to it, and no, she hadn't ever done anything else with it. While Nakuru did seem a bit ditsy, after meeting Chia Takeda, Tohko wasn't so keen as to just write people off as being a sweet airhead nowadays. Not that she had much..but she really wasn't inclined to now.

However, as they wandered into the orchestra hall and wandered down the hall way to Maki's studio, Tohko smiled at Eriol.]

Oh, don't worry! She's not bothering me.

[She then knocked on the door of Maki's art studio.]

D:! /tucks in with orange juice and chicken noodle soup

It's a rare gift to be able to keep up with Nakuru. [Eriol gave a faint, blithe smile. Nakuru just shrugged with an air of playful indifference.] Not my fault people can't keep up. Tohko-chan, you should let me put it up for you. We could do something really cute~! [She's distracted as Tohko knocks on the door.] Ooh, I haven't been over here yet~.

Well, I am a book girl. If I couldn't keep up with something like this, I would lose a lot of important details later on.

[Tohko spoke to Eriol first before turning to Nakuru as she opened the door to the studio. One would be able to smell oil paints and canvases right at the entrance.]

Well..I wouldn't mind doing that, Nakuru..just as long as you don't do anything permanent. And I'm not surprised that you haven't been in here yet. Maki doesn't tend to drag people here unless she's going to use them as models.

[Tohko then tried to walk into the room, hoping Nakuru and Eriol would follow. In the middle of the room, painting a person with white hair, was a girl with long brown hair and a nice figure..as well as an art smock over her uniform.]

Tohko, you're late.

How ya feeling today?

Pft! Like I'd do anything to ruin this gorgeous hair.

[Eriol takes a step forward when the brown-haired girl speaks.] I'm afraid that's my fault, [he says politely. The new student offers a brief bow both in apology and greeting.] I'm afraid I wished to borrow Amano-san for my own selfish reasons this afternoon. She's been of great help to me since I transferred. However, I understand she was to model for you today. If you're willing, my companion Nakuru is quite willing to model for you instead. [The red-head strikes a pose reminiscent of Bottecelli's 'The Birth of Venus', then grins cheerfully.] I'll be a great model!

A little better, actually! My throat is still sore, but I'm feeling a bit more with it. :3

Well, I'm glad to hear that..

[Tohko murmured to Nakuru as she watched Maki and Eriol interact. Maki, holding a paintbrush in one hand, turned towards them, smirking. She looked Nakuru over for a minute, getting a feel for her colors, before turning back to Eriol.]

I see. While Tohko may have helped you quite a bit, I am curious as to why you need to speak with her. She owes me a great many back payments. Of course..she wouldn't owe me a single cent if she modeled in the nude for me..

That'll never happen, Maki!

[Tohko huffed and Maki just laughed while she turned to Nakuru.]

Will you have a problem doing something like that then?

I thought I might have her show me around a bit more. I've only been here a few days, you see, so I'm quite unfamiliar with the area.

Aw, I'm no good nude. But I'll wear cat ears-- [Nakuru put her fists up to the top of her head as if imitating a cat--] Or bunny ears! [Nakuru pointed both index fingers up.] Or a maid costume, or anything else super cute! I make a good boy, too. [Nakuru makes a motion as if adjusting a baseball cap. If nothing else, she's enthusiastic about the proposition.]

[At that, Maki nodded, still smiling like a cat who has found a fat, defenseless mouse.]

Alright then. I shall dress you up in any manner of clothes..and turn you into a boy, all to be sketched and painted.

[That was addressed to Nakuru. She then turned to Eriol and Tohko.]

I'll let her run off with you then..but I'm not going to let you slip through my fingers that easily next time, Tohko.

W-we'll see about that!

[Nakuru looks delighted. Spinel always said she should wear the boy's school uniform rather than the girl's, but the guardian preferred how she looked in the girl uniform. When dressed up as a boy, with her hair tucked away or pinned back, her androgynous facial features and frame made her look fairly convincing.


Eriol offers his best smile to the artist.] I appreciate your kindness, Himekura-san. [His attentions turn to Tohko.] Shall we, Amano-san?

[Nakuru waves her hand before they leave.] Eriol-kuuuun! I want cream puffs for dessert when I get home! [The dark-haired boy nods in assent.]

Ah, sorry to hear that. Hopefully you'll get off soon. ><;

[Maki stayed silent at the exchange, as she was putting a cloth over the painting she was working on and moving it aside for the moment. Tohko waved politely at Nakuru as she walked out.]

..Thanks for helping me get out of that. Maki may have the nickname of the Princess here, but she's just a huge pervert.

Yes, 20 minutes. Can't wait. XD

[Once they're outside the building, Eriol readjusts the load of books he's been carrying.] Now then, Amano-san. I suppose I should head home and make those cream puffs Nakuru wants. I hope you'll be able to enjoy your evening now.

Not that Maki would mind that much, to be honest with you. She loves painting.

[Once they were outside, Tohko smiled at Eriol's words and nodded.]

Oh, don't worry! I'll be able to..but you know, if you need any help making the snacks, I could help you out!

They should be a lovely match for each other then. [Eriol nods in the direction of his home.] You're welcome to come for dinner. It's just myself, Nakuru and Spinel--my cat. It's within walking distance, only a little over a mile.

[At the invitation, Tohko smiled and nodded.]

Oh, sure! I'd love to join you guys for dinner. If you want, I could help you out with it.

She has energy for days, no worries.

I was going to make cottage pie for dinner. It's a bit heavy though, compared to most Japanese dishes, so if you'd prefer something else, we can stop by the grocer. [Eriol tended to make a lot of traditional English or Chinese dishes, but he was also fond of Japanese. He wasn't extraordinary, but he did have a knack for cooking beyond that of a normal young teenager.]

Well, that's good to hear! Maki might end up sending her home after awhile then. And cottage pie is fine with me! You don't have to worry.

[After all, it wasn't like Tohko could taste normal food. She would actually have to pretend to enjoy it.]

[Of course. But there were appearances to keep up, even if Tohko knew there were something off about Eriol and he knew there was something different about her. But then, maybe that wishing tree had just been a strange dream...]

Perfect. [The walk takes them through a very narrow path through fairly dense woods, behind the school, but the path is a mostly straight one. ]

[For Tohko, that hadn't been a dream, but even though she suspected that Eriol was much, much older than he appeared, if he didn't want to open up yet, then she probably shouldn't pry until it became necessary. So, until it did, she was just going to act as she usually did. The woods was rather dense, but Tohko smiled at she walked.]

I suppose you must feel like Red Riding Hood every time you walk down this path.
