( voicetesting, but ota! )

[ it's been a busy day.

cyno was up quite early to see to a client, finishing a large back piece that took several hours to complete, and by the time he was done he was stiff all over, his back aching from being hunched forward all day, his callused hands cramped. but he pushes through, because he's seeing tighnari soon - even if tighnari isn't aware - and that's enough to keep him motivated.

their shops are beside one another, and they'd met years ago, the week that tighnari's flower shop opened up beside cyno's parlor. it had been a bit tumultuous at first, truth be told - they hadn't gotten along. tighnari's abrasive temperament had rankled him, he'd complained about the noise from the music played in cyno's shop, and cyno had complained about the pollen from tighnari's flowers, which had aggravated his allergies. yet their spats had shifted quickly into.. something else. something more. a fierce and oddly familiar attraction that had seized them both. one evening, after closing, shouting had turned to grabbing, to kissing, to tighnari pinned against the wall of his shop, their hands everywhere.

and now.. this. now cyno is stealing into tighnari's shop on his lunch break, slipping up behind where he stands at the counter, working on a large arrangement. cyno's arms slide around tighnari's middle, and he presses in close, hooking his chin over tighnari's shoulder, nudging his nose and mouth against his partner's jaw. ]

Come to my place tonight. I have something for you.

[ On the other side of things, it's not that Tighnari's day is fast-paced. Rather, it begins pretty early. The second floor of the shop had been fashioned into something of a greenhouse so Tighnari could grow most of the plants he wanted there. Thus he would begin his day looking after and caring for the plants there before making his way down to the main floor and doing the same for all the flora on display. He would set aside orders that needed to be done for the day and check on the ones that were being held for pick up.

Truthfully, he likes this life. He enjoys seeing the smiles the arrangements he makes bring. Then, of course, there is just the education on the care of the plants in general. Some students from the local university would come by from time to time to look at some of the rarer specimens that Tighnari had cultivated.

Meeting Cyno, his neighbor, hadn't... Well it hadn't been a smooth process. He remembers the day that he had stormed into the parlor quite clearly - how he had demanded to talk to the owner right off of the bat because he had a complaint. Even to this day he doesn't know if things had really ever resolved themselves... More like the music has been turned down and Tighnari found out, specifically, what plant had been the cause of Cyno's allergic reaction and moved it to the upstairs greenhouse.

Actually, he doesn't really know how they've fallen into this. Whatever this is that doesn't really have a definition, but feels right all the same. It feels natural... Like finding a missing part of himself that Tighnari hadn't realized had been lost in the first place.

So of course he knows the moment that Cyno slips into his shop. Tighnari continues to work, gently bending a stem of one of those orders called in today. He feels the arms go around him and at the same moment, his muscles simply relax. ]

Oh? What if I have plans tonight?

[ tighnari goes easy in his arms, relaxing, and cyno smiles. ]

You do have plans. With me.

[ cyno's arms tighten, his mouth moving against tighnari's jaw, nosing at that tender space where his jaw and neck meet. he inhales, breathing in his familiar floral scent. no, they haven't really defined this thing they have, but it's.. electric, passionate; tighnari has his hooks deep in cyno's belly, pulling. cyno had grown addicted to him quickly, to the taste of his skin, and the sharpness of his personality. ]

C'mon. I'll make it worth your time.

[ he purrs, nosing through tighnari's hair to press kisses down his throat. he's pushing his luck, but right now the shop is empty, they're alone. ]

Or I could give it to you now.

Oh do I...

[ Oh Cyno's nose tickles. It makes the hair on the back of his neck rise and his tail swishes in interest. Even Tighnari's fingers twitch against the leaves he's now working on. It's so very tempting to turn away from his work. ]

You don't have to do anything special to make time with you "worth it." If I didn't enjoy it then I wouldn't-

[ Then he startles a bit. He should have known that Cyno holding him wouldn't be enough. The fool has to take it a step further. Who would have thought that such a strait-laced man would be so full of mischief! ]

Cyno! You could at least let me flip the sign over and lock the door!

[ tighnari will feel cyno's grin curving against his skin. ]

I could.

[ one hand smooths down tighnari's belly, his thumb slipping beneath the hem of his shirt, smoothing over soft, warm skin. cyno knows full well that he's being risky here, but that's part of the thrill, part of the enjoyment. since the moment their anger turned to passion, it's been difficult for cyno to keep his hands off of the man, any time they're together.

humming against tighnari's throat, cyno presses another kiss there, then another, in the dip where tighnari's neck and jaw meet. ]

Agree to dinner with me, and I'll stop.

[ He can feel that green and his tail smacks against Cyno in retaliation. Let him finish his work for the night!

Tighnari had no idea that he would essentially unlock some monster with this man. His hands seem to like to overwhelm him. Leaving marks and being risky like this... Tighnari wouldn't have thought him the type when they first met.

And he's still going too. Hand slipping under a shirt. More kisses along the neck that make Tighnari suck in a breath and head spin. ]

Cyno.

[ Okay. Okay! He wiggles so that he can turn around and slap at a shoulder. ]

No, you won't. Let me lock up for the day since you're not going to let me do anything else.

[ tighnari's irritation seems only to entertain cyno, given the gentle smile on his face when tighnari finally turns in his arms. ]

I'm a man of my word, you know.

[ if he makes a promise, he keeps it! even silly little promises, like keeping his hands off of tighnari in exchange for a night together. if he says he'll do it, he'll do it! that said, he also won't complain if tighnari's offering to close up early. ]

Let me help. I also have a request.

[ a kiss to tighnari's brow, and cyno finally pulls away, slipping his thumbs into his pockets. ]

On most things you are, yes.

[ The are other things, though, that seem to have loopholes. Tighnari just narrows his eyes for a moment. Then he gives Cyno a peck on the lips as the other pulls away.

Already he's grabbing the half finished arrangement and starting to put it up. ]

You are awfully needy today. [ Not that he minds. If anything, he kind of likes being needed. Having things asked of him. ] So let's hear it.

You wound me.

[ loopholes! please! he's an honest man, tighnari, how dare you. cyno does not look particularly wounded, however; in fact, his expression is open and warm, especially after he receives that little peck on the lips. ]

I need an arrangement, for someone special. Someone I'm seeing.

[ he starts, before he's moving to follow after tighnari, though he breaks off once they're past the counter, stepping toward the door to flip the sign to closed. ]

You'll recover.

[ The partial arrangement goes into the cooler, meant to preserve the flowers for longer. Then he starts to wipe down the countertop he had been working on even as Cyno goes to flip the sign to closed and lock the door.

A brow raises at the request. ]

Oh? Someone special, hmm. What sort of arrangement did you have in mind?
