Captive

You've just been captured - or maybe you've been held captive for a while now. Whatever the case, you've lost your freedom, and there's a specific person responsible for that. You might be a prisoner, a mental patient, a kidnap victim, or someone's pet. Maybe you're there willingly, or maybe the choice has been taken away from you completely.

→Leave a tag with your character. Be sure to include any limits on what you are willing to play, as this meme has the potential to be triggering.
→Respect others' stated limits! Whether the thread is gen, ship, dub- or noncon, make sure it's what all the writers are happy with.

Scenarios
1. For their own good. Either the captive isn't aware that what they've been up to has drastic consequences, or they don't care. The captor is doing this to prevent the captive from doing themselves harm.

2. For the good of society. The captive is a not just a threat to themselves, but to others. The captor must do this for the betterment of all.

3. Because they're not well. A possible doctor/patient feel. The captive is unwell, mentally or physically. It could be a quarantine of some sort. Does the captor take pity? Do they know how to care for the ill?

4. For the money. Bounty hunter, or jailer for higher. The captive is wanted for some reason. The other may care, they may not. But it isn't personal...they're just getting paid.

5. For their love. It might be a case of yandere, or it might be a consenting BDSM relationship. Whether it's by mutual agreement or by force, you're keeping them simply because you love them.

6. Because they're cute or unique. A specimen of sorts. Or a pet. The captor is proud of collecting the captive.

7. Because they're your property. Slave? Livestock? Who cares what they think - they're your property, and you decide their fate.

8. For the lulz. A prank, payback? You'll let them go, once you're done laughing and snapping photos... maybe.

9. For science. The captive might be an alien species, a rare supernatural being, or an anomaly that must be studied. They're a lab rat being poked and prodded for the pursuit of knowledge. The captor might be the scientist, or 'just' a lab tech. Do they feel any remorse for what they're doing?

[Its the mistaken identity that gets his attention. Red Son doesn't usually visit human settlements. There were advantages to being an immortal fire demon, after all, and that meant less need for supplies to survive. Usually he only went in once a year for a week to do major repairs on the machines in the settlement, or if he's lucky, getting to do work in the plant itself in exchange for supplies to make life comfortable. His whole point in joining the space colonization was to learn more about the fascinating new technology, but the problems of being a bombastic yet reclusive loner is no one wanted him in there regularly until they were desperate for a fix. Desperate enough to not ask why he would even go in for the dangerous fixes and come out unharmed or why he didn't age.]

[Such as what happened in his last visit, where bounty hunters took him as this Vash. The Humanoid Typhoon. Never mind the man was supposed to be blonde and stupidly tall while his hair was red and he was. Less tall. Its not like red coats were THAT rare.]

[The bounty hunters weren't a problem, but it had gotten his attention. The number of the bounty specifically. He had to double check his understanding of currency wasn't out of date and no. No, it really wasn't.]

[How a person got that high a bounty had been a fascinating question and he's heard the stories. The thought of a human managing all that was hard to believe. Not necessarily impossible, he knew that, but it still said there was something special about them. As a human. Or that they might be another immortal being and it would be nice to know if another one had managed to hitch a ride into the program.]

[Or perhaps something new.]

[That was an exciting thought.]

[It had been the first time in decades he had taken to traveling instead of just working on his personal projects in his home. At least it wasn't hard to follow the man's trail when he got on it.]

[There were also a few more mistaken identities. A little more information. Apparently he's helped with plants before and okay, maybe he's starting to understand why bounty hunters are making the mistake.]

[Then he finally found the man. He was]

[He didn't approach at first. He wasn't a fool, he knew for someone to get that kind of bounty, there had to be danger. What he didn't expect was his target being a fool. Overly friendly and like he was some kind of idiot. Was it just a front? It wouldn't be the first time.]

[Though a front seemed less likely with how easy he was to capture. Seriously, were donuts that distracting?]

[At least once he had him, it was easy enough to get back home. A few fiery teleports and he had his captive in the cell in his underground home. Now he just had to wait for him to wake up again, looking over the gun. Surely there had to be something special about it. No one caused that much damage with a pistol without there being SOMETHING about it.]

[he's likely to get locked up for breaking the law purposes, but i'm always down for a "for science" scenario. or maybe it's a pet thing, don't judge. fine with all of the listed scenarios though! 18+ for anything that gets into shipping/smut territory.]

( the captor. for more concrete set-ups, i'll give some info regarding why and how she'd do it. huge higurashi spoilers below.

to cut it short, shion has a parasite in her brain that, when triggered, gives her intense paranoia and murderous impulses. there are two triggers for it.

the first trigger: if her twin sister complains about her love life to shion, shion will become envious and resentful due to her own love interest suddenly disappearing a year prior. eventually, her envy will manifest into anger until she ultimately takes it out on her sister and her sister's lover. this scenario is a bad end where she likely kills them both after confinement.

the second trigger: if shion believes someone is involved with the sudden disappearance of the boy she loves, she'll do them in. that can either be by killing them or holding them captive until she's satisfied with the information she's gotten out of them.

shion is known in her series for keeping her captives in the underground ritual storehouse beneath her family's estate. it's basically a huge area with torture equipment used by her family a long time ago and individual prison cells. there is even a special room that's sanctioned off with a toilet, bed, and various necessities to last a month.

so! we can go three ways. your character is shion's sister's lover and shion captured them to torment her sister. two, shion is suspicious of your character's involvement with her boyfriend's disappearance and locks them up for it. three, we could have your character be her love interest and locked away in the special room. maybe shion is paranoid or delusional and believes there's no other way to keep them safe. she'll still be out of it, but way more romantic.

one and two can get violent if you'd like; i don't mind at all. and of course, if you have an idea in mind, i'm all ears! )
