story of a small town a stardew valley / harvest moon inspired meme   So, you want a simple, honest life, eh? Big city life isn't for you? Well, look no further than Summerton / Pelican Town / some other generic small town name! Here, the life you'll lead is as simple as it gets. Tending livestock, planting crops, mining, forging, fishing... Fortunately, it's not as if you're entirely off the grid. There are plenty of townsfolk to keep you company. There're fairs, and parades, and events. And, in time, you might even fall in — dare we say it — love? One can only hope!  how to play 1. Create a top-level and decide whether you'd like to be the fresh-faced new farmer, or a local!  2. Enjoy small town life.

• new in town Congrats, you're the main character of this whole mess! After inheriting some land in a new town from your late grandfather, life is about to become a whole lot different from what you're used to.

 

• the beach dweller The one who's been here for a while, living by the beach, waxing poetic, drafting up novels, enjoying lobster... how romantic!

 

• the town doctor The respectable one who no one can say a bad word against. You keep this town alive and well, and we thank you for it! Partial to coffee.

 

• the sporty one One day, you're going to get out of this town and live your dreams of playing in the big leagues! Everyone knows it!

 

• the musician Playing guitar in your garage, writing songs, eating pizza, and playing video games. One day, you'll get a band going and you'll hit the road!

 

• the loner The one who goes out of their way to keep people at a distance. What's it going to take to melt that iced over heart of yours? A new farmer, perhaps?

 

• the screw-up Life just isn't working out the way you'd hoped it would. You feel stuck, trapped in this town, and you find yourself resorting to all sorts of unsavory means of escapism. But... could a bright-eyed new farmer help turn your perspective around? 

 

• the scary one People in this town just don't get you. Dyed hair and piercings? Ouija boards and healing crystals? In this simple farm town? Perish the thought! Still, maybe a new arrival will show up and finally understand what it is you're going for.

 

• the passionate one How hard you work is admirable, truly! Working at these part-time jobs is only a means for you to get closer to your true goal... whatever that is. We love to see it! Keep chasing your dreams!

 

• the royal Clearly, you're too good for this podunk town. You make it very clear that you don't belong here. They don't even have a Prada store! They don't even sell Gucci! What is this place?! Still... maybe a simple farmhand is just what you need to bring you back down to Earth.

 

• the artist Passionate yet terribly shy, you have a treasure trove of artwork that has yet to be seen by the community. Why? Because the thought of opening yourself to others in that way is terrifying! Let's hope a nice, new townie helps to break you out of that shell.

 

• the techie The person everyone calls when their printer isn't working, or their cell phone won't get service. To the technologically challenged folks of this town, you're a godsend. And when a new farmer comes to town and can't get their irrigation timer working properly, maybe it's you they call upon!

 

• wildcard Find your own way to fit your character into this small-town setting! A traveling scientist? A local business owner? An alien expert?

• move-in day Fresh off the train and ready to experience pain! The pain of moving, that is. There're boxes to haul, a new town to navigate, a new house to welcome, new strangers to greet... let's hope a friendly neighbor is open to helping.

 

• getting settled Transitions take time. Maybe you're restless, or uneasy, or uncomfortable inside this little farm house all alone? Make some friends to ease the growing pains!

 

• traversing the town For a new farmer, taking trips into town is... expected. You're going to need groceries, and farming tools, and seeds to plant, and that's all before even considering the social aspect of it.

 

• nature life Fishing, hiking, scavenging for mushrooms — y'know, the things that normalcity-dwellers don't even consider doing.

 

• town hall As a member of this town, it's your civic duty to attend these dumb meetings and vote on dumb legislation about park benches, damn it!

 

• stargazing Another thing that city-slickers tend to miss out on: camping out under the stars! Bring your blanket out onto the green and see how many constellations you can count!

 

• uncovering secrets The part of small-town life we tend to trope up the most: the small town with a dark, mysterious secret! Perhaps you stumble onto something big while digging and tilling?  

 

• a night in After a hard day of work, everyone deserves a night kicking back with movies and wine., Hey, why not invite a townie to join you?

 

• a night out  Something's going on in town! A fundraiser dance? A spring festival? A local production of Our Town that's just a little too on the nose? Whatever it is, you absolutely HAVE to go!

 

• emergency  Someone! Come quick! Ol' Heifer Bessie's givin' birth!

 

• hard work Hoing ain't easy! Neither is shoveling, or tilling, or feeding cattle, or collecting hen eggs, or laying manure, or—

 

• renovations This ol' farm could use a fresh coat of paint. While you're at it, throw in a new roof, and a new set of stairs.

He'd noticed, though, that it felt like the number of requests was getting smaller and smaller? It gave him time to work on other jobs but it still seemed weird. What had changed lately? There was that hurricane a month ago, the baker hurt his hip, that girl talking something about hero stuff had moved in...]

[ Jonathan Joestar is a good bean. Sometimes he's too good of a bean. He can see what's going on with his neighbour's farm and he's concerned, to say the least. And Jonathan being Jonathan and terminally helpful busybody that he is he just can't let that go.

His neighbour always seems a little grumpy though. Maybe he'll refuse help when it's offered? Still, he's pure of heart and he has to try!

Jonathan approaches Zoro's farm with some sheep - except he's not herding them. He's not exactly an experienced farmer either, he only know what he's read in books and observed around Joestar Manor and he doesn't have a sheepdog to help him herd them... So obviously the logical thing to do was just to grab two of them and tuck one either side so he's carrying them like fat fluffy rugby balls under his giant, mahoosive arms.

And for some reason there's a chicken poking its head out of his backpack.

He carefully steps around some kind of crop - it's hard to tell what they were at one stage with how close they are to death's door. Treading on them probably wouldn't have mattered but still, he's considerate as ever. ]

Nature Life/Eventual Stargazing

Katsuki honestly didn't think too highly of the new farmer when he first moved in. He owned and ran the nearby horse ranch and had been watching Tsuna run around with no idea what he was doing for the first week or so.

After which, he'd become frustrated and started giving him tips in a very... loud manner. Sometimes yelling. Sometimes grabbing tools from his hands with a 'you're doing that wrong' before showing him how to use it right.

Today he's found Tsuna out in the woods near the farm, presumably foraging. Which was fine. But once again it's clear he's out of his depth.

"That one's poisonous." He points out, nodding at the bush Tsuna is plucking berries from as he walks up on the young farmer while he's out hiking.
