① baby it's cold outside - you're stuck somewhere by heavy snowfall, whether it's a house, a hut or the spacious seats of your car.
② just a brisk walk - nothing like throwing on a heavy coat and going for a walk in sub-zero temperatures to clear your head.
③ season's greetings - whatever holiday you celebrate in your universe, it's probably a time for giving and sharing. think gifts, hearty get-togethers and warm drinks.
④ figure eight - you're going ice-skating, whether you like it or not. try not to look like a baby deer out there.
⑤ hot cocoa - you catch up with a friend and have a nice, heart-warming hot drink of some sort. cocoa, coffee, tea or cider - up to you!

sᴘʀɪɴɢ
① april showers - suddenly, rain! a shower appears out of nowhere and soaks you to the bone as april showers are wont to do.
② first bloom - the first flowers poke through the winter frost, and you take some to someone. whether in gratitude, well wishes or something more - well, that could depend on which ones you choose.
③ clean as a whistle - time to do spring cleaning! all the dust and cobwebs from your house, office or base need to go along with the rest of the mess, so - off to rummage through your memories.
④ king of the garden - flower crown. just... flower crown.
⑤ the botanist - try your hand at some gardening! start small with a pot plant if you don't know how to keep something alive yet, or go full-blown with a whole garden.

sᴜᴍᴍᴇʀ
① heatwave - it's been a very hot couple of weeks, and it's starting to get to you. when will this unusual weather end, and how will you cope?
② just a dip - summer is the perfect time to jump into the water - a pool, a creek or a river. relax in the water, have a swim or just cool down.
③ sweet treats - you're introducing or being introduced to a delicious new iced something.
④ getting my tan on - either you get sunburnt or you're doing a little better and tanning properly. on a towel or a chair, lounging in the sun, or too many hours on horseback on a hot day.
⑤ annual leave - it's been a long year and you're taking a brief holiday from work or life's pressures - preferably to somewhere warm, tropical and not in imminent danger.

ᴀᴜᴛᴜᴍɴ
① harvest festival - you either plan to go to or happen upon a local harvest festival. dancing, brews and good food makes for a good night out.
② reflections - the symbolic changing colours of the leaves makes you think back to the past year. what have you accomplished, and what feelings does that draw out from your introspection?
③ set up camp - the weather in autumn is well known for being picky, and a sudden turn means you have to set up camp or get back inside pretty quickly. have fun!
④ dinner for two (or more) - a lot of good food is coming in - the perfect time for you to put on, or have a feast put on for you. better brush up on those culinary skills...
⑤ oh, the horror - it's time for you to try scare the pants off someone with this sick new scary story you've heard - just at the right time for the annual spooky season.

[Trying to come up with an outing that will please Yukari is only difficult because they both are already plenty familiar with what Iwatodai has to offer. There are only so many surprises he could spring on her that she wouldn't already see coming... and it certainly doesn't help that he ends up falling asleep in the middle of his planning the night before.

But! It's fine! He's supposed to be good at thinking on his feet, right?

... He hopes that will be the case today, as well. He really owes her, not just for worrying her but also for everything she does for him. This is a great opportunity to show that... if he can get it right.

But first! They promised to meet at the school gates, and so that is where he makes a beeline for after school, waving at his club mates but otherwise very carefully Not Engaging, lest he get dragged into some shenanigans. Being super late for this meet up would... be very, very bad.]

Oh... hey, Yukari...! You beat me.

[ yukari hears minato's voice when she's busy adjusting her scarf around her neck, fluffing it up and smoothing the tails down against her front. her head snaps up and the grin she wears is bright in the crisp air. ]

Hey, took ya long enough!

[ the greeting is playful, teasing; truthfully yukari had only just arrived. like minato, she'd done her best not to engage with the friends that tried to catch her attention. gently she'd let them down, say she had plans, only to receive brutal teasing from a few of her girl friends about going out with the cute transfer student. yukari was only caught off guard at the lockers, held up by a first year who had entirely too many questions for how short yukari's patience was at the time.

she considers it a miracle that she was able to extricate herself from that conversation at all.

trotting up to close the distance between them, yukari's hands grip tightly the handle of her bag, white knuckles a sign of her nervousness. ]

Rest of your day okay?

[ it's a question asked mostly out of politeness: since they shared a classroom , she was there to experience most of the day with him. still! there were those few hours he did his own thing, right?? surely that'd count for something. ]

[In contrast to her slight signs of nervousness, Minato looks as laidback as ever, hands tucked into his pockets and shoulders slouched. Don't be fooled. He absolutely is nervous. He promised Yukari a fun outing and the pressure is on.]

Yep, nothing too special.

[Always the ideal, when he doesn't get caught sleeping in class and nothing weird happens at school. They have to deal with enough weirdness in their day-to-day lives.]

I feel really energized, actually.

[This is said as quietly as anything else he says, but it's probably true because of the aforementioned nap.]

How about you? Are you ready?

[ yukari's lips press together when minato-kun utters the word "energized", like she's about to start laughing. the day she sees minato-kun looking at all energized is the day the world will end, in her opinion. everything will be topsy turvy! ]

Yeah, I'm ready! [ somewhat breathless, yukari nods quickly. ] I brought an extra pair of shoes in case we're walking somewhere far.

[Oh, Yukari is so prepared. Thank goodness one of them is, honestly.]

Oh, that's good. I don't think we're walking too far, but I'd rather you be comfortable.

[He tucks his hands into his pockets, casual but a little hopeful she'll enjoy what he has planned.]

We spend a lot of time around the strip mall and stuff, so I was thinking it might be nice to head down towards the water and the pier over there.

[Surely port island has a pier?? I'm making stuff up, it's fine.]

[ following the direction indicated, yukari feels herself grin. her heart flutters a little. ]

You know, we come here almost every day... I'm surprised we've never gone there sooner!

[ she shifts to face minato, that grin still lighting up her features. it's not too far; definitely not far enough to require changing her footwear.

still, since she's yukari, she can't help but tease a little as she starts to walk. ]

Did'ja rent some fishing rods?

[He nods along with that, because she's right; he supposes that they're busy with school and then their clubs, Yukari with archery and Minato with [looks at smudged writing on hand] some clubs.]

No time like the present, right?

[Besides, it'll be nice to see what it's like with Yukari in particular. He doesn't get a lot of time alone with her, since they live in the dorm with everyone else, but it's always comforting to be around her.

--Except when she teases him and he buys it.]

Oh. I didn't. You like fishing...? I had no idea.

First Bloom / King of the Garden
Before his exile from the Fae Courts, Will was the Lord of the Floral Fae. Ergo, he always bore a fondness for that time of year when nature and all its beautiful flower burst into bloom. And one of the first of the annual blooms was the daffodil, a flower representing new beginnings. They also signify creative energy, resilience, and vitality. Since it’s the first day of spring, Will was, of course, adorned in a lovely flower crown to mark the occasion. He’s standing on the sidewalk offering bright smiles and daffodils he seemed to be conjuring out of thin air to passers-by.

Though it isn't her season quite yet, there's an unearthly glow about Viviane as she takes in the sights of the first day of Spring. Warm and bright like sunlight. Bright flowers are woven into her own curls, kept alive by magic. The sight of a stranger crowned with flowers handing out daffodils isn't a strange one, but it still piques her curiosity when she can't see where he's keeping them. Blue eyes meet his as she comes to a stop in front of him, gaze searching as she accepts a daffodil.

"Other than where I am from, I have never seen anyone be so... festive, about Spring." A faint smile touches her lips, fingers tucking the daffodil into her hair. "I am more fond of Summer myself, but I do like seeing flowers bloom for the firs time."

"Summer is beautiful," he agrees easily with a bob of his head. Indeed, he favored hot weather, being a tropical flower himself. "But Spring is when we finally emerge from the cold. It's the herald of warmth and sunshine and the world coming back to life."

And all of that made him so happy! Talking about it made his warm brown eyes sparkle with delight. "Your flowers are very pretty, by the way."

Just a Brisk Walk
Dal’s not really sure which he dislikes more: rain or snow. What’s certain was that he doesn’t like the cold. But necessity finds him out in it and woefully underdressed for it. He can feel the snow beginning to melt and dampen on his pulled-up hoodie, and his bare hands are shoved deep in the pockets of the camouflage jacket he wears over it. He shivered noticeably as he walked down the street, trying to ignore that his feet were going numb from the cold.

Just a Dip
Whether it’s a pool or a creek, Jae can be found sitting at the edge, dangling his legs in the water. It’s clear from his attire – beige board shorts and a bright Hawaiian shirt – the he’s not planning on getting in the water. But a smile curled his lips while he watched others splashing and swimming and generally enjoying themselves. He leaned back on his arms to enjoy the warmth of the summer sun on his face and kicked his legs in the water.
