I immensely dislike events like art gallery openings and want some good company. And also what kind of question is that. That sounds like something I should be asking you.

It's a Stark Foundation thing. It's highlighting artists that were setback by NYC disaster. Door and plate fees go directly back to that community. Artists get 100% revenue of any sold artwork. It's one of those things that's a good cause that draws the wrong crowd but the wrong crowd pays well so. Here we are. Friday is the gen admission open.

I will field any questions about natural disasters in New York, if any conversation steers in that direction. But I draw the line at discssing alien invasions.

Do you even have to ask that? What I lack in social grace you have a thousand fold.

But it also just so happens I like your company. Everything else is an added bonus.

What is the dress code for this event?

Creative black tie. Although I think I told the planner to make sure the invitations say something like, "We're not doing a Met Gala. This is not the Paris Fashion Week. If you come dressed up like a weirdo you will be barred from entry."

I don't think she was taking me seriously but I was very serious about that.

How disappointing. I should have led with that question, I do love a reason to make a statement with what I wear. The right dress can deter questions you'd rather not answer, after all.
