I DROPPED THE SCREW IN THE TUNA
![]() SECRETS REVEALED |
- No blank comments. Top levels should include your character telling everyone their biggest secret, that little piece of knowledge they've kept quiet for whatever reason. Positive or negative, embarrassing or devastating, about themselves or someone/thing else, every whisper counts as long as it's about a secret you'd rather die than tell. - What happens, then, when the truth gets out? Will it set you free...or set every prospect you had on fire? |

Come on, kid.
[Then, because he feels bad about his tone and the grimace and everything, he tries to turn it into a normal kind of answer, the kind if you try to turn it into talking about something else, every now and then Cole lets you.]
That's not even how real weapons work, you know that. Just because Boss' never given you a shitty dagger doesn't mean they're all like that. Like the stuff Seggrit used to sell back in Haven, you remember those?

People would go for them too fast... I'd have to hide them so they couldn't do things they'd regret. Is that why you wanted to be 'fixed' even though you weren't broken? Hiding something so you don't do something you'll regret.

I wasn't hiding anything. That's not really how the whole Viddathlok thing works.
[It's not like he can't say 'reeducation' right here in front of everybody, but he's not really in the mood to be out here for this. So he finishes getting up and heads up toward the room he sleeps at, expecting Cole to follow. It's one of the things he's not supposed to like about being out here: you can go off by yourself, just go away to talk with someone, just the two of you making sure no one else can tell what you're saying, and no one even knows here that it's weird.]
You still do stuff like that? Hide people's weapons when they're about to do stupid crap?

He does indeed follow after the Iron Bull though, needing to do a light jog to keep up. ]
Sometimes. They don't need it as much now. They were - a pot boiling over before, everything ready to spill out and get everywhere. Now it's a simmer.

Good. That's good. Everyone's got more faith in the whole thing now, huh? Lucky you were around looking out for us 'till we got here.

It's fear. Becoming something different, something new. The butterfly can't be a caterpillar again. That doesn't mean it failed at being one. Fear fades with familiarity.

Look, I get that you want to help, but— [Easier to leave it at that so he pauses, like something just occurred to him.] Hey, am I the butterfly in this metaphor? Because you could have gone with something more badass, like... I don't know, what's got a larval stage that's not a bug? Maybe one of the cool bugs.

Moths?
[ Moths are cool. ]

[He thinks on it for a second. It's an important decision. Especially if it's distracting Cole from talking about the other crap.]
I get to be a big one? With something cool on the wings?

[ Cole puts a hand up, fingers spread, to give an approximation of size and basically where. Right front and center on the brim. ]
I had to stay still for hours while she got her energy back to continue the night. It had been very windy and taken a lot out of her.
