[Somehow, somehow, Rui had managed to keep from pissing Akechi off just enough to get him on the hiking trails. And it turns out that, if you exhaust him with constant physical exertion (like hiking with a backpack full of random clown shit?), that Rui actually manages to not...Talk...So much.

Which is a net win for the both of them. Better still when he's quiet on the train ride home, even if they're stuck sitting together and Rui's head, despite all of his best efforts, starts lolling to one side. Then the other. Then back towards Akechi's shoulder. His eyelids flutter, clearly stuck in that realm between 'awake enough to say single-syllable words' and 'asleep enough to not remember anything that happens in this time'. His head lolls more.

While normally Rachel would be leaning over her shell, using it as a table to rest her book on, tonight she's got it full of different books and papers she'd thought Donnie might find interesting to go through while she struggled through her own. It isn't her poor attention span that does her in this time, though. Sooner or later, her eyes are drifting shut and the rhinophores on her head glowing dimmer, dimmer, dimmer...

Ray slumps to the side, too stubborn to give up and retreat back into her shell for a proper nap, but not stubborn enough to stay awake. The book she'd been reading slips from her hands as they go slack -- absolutely no way she's going to be able to remember what page she was on -- and almost gets dragged off the side of her shell as she finds support on Donnie's arm. Most of her senses are a lot more dulled as a slime, but she can recognize that her new pillow is a good source of warmth. Definitely worth (metaphorically) sticking to.]

[It's only after a fun day out and the sun is starting to set that Sae decides it's time to head home. Due to all the activities that she's done through the day (dancing, walking around on foot) she's incredibly tuckered out and so she slumps in her chair, tiny body shifting to tilt to the side against Midnight. It's obvious by the way her head shoots up that she's struggling to stay awake but failing miserably, red eyes peering up at the man through her white bangs. She sends him a sleepy yet sheepish look, her facial expressions reading 'sorry..' even though she hadn't said anything yet.]

Uuu.. [A tiny gurgle of a bird chirp drifts from her mouth as she nestles her head on his shoulder without even thinking about it, eyes closing shut. Just a couple of minutes.. By then sleep had once again taken a hold of her, one hand shifting to curl into the fabric of his shirt.]

[ The sound of the helo was background noise and something that became a constant. It wasn't something he and his partner wasn't used to, but there was something rather relaxing about it this time. They had been staked out for days without sleep and Chris had been personally running on more than second and third winds. He's sure it was the same for Jill, but somehow his much larger body managed to conk out faster than he could fake his way through a conversation at the moment.

They had been chatting some and before he knew it some moments of radio silence passed in between. He couldn't remember details of how, but he could swear he was managing to keep up. Chris barely felt his eyelids as heavy as they were before things started simply blur around them. Slightly dizzied, he began to inevitably nod off and at this point, was close to drooling with the way his mouth started to hang open. Small favors he hadn't managed to fall into such a state he was snoring but his company was quite comfortable. Chris has been propped up against her prior and one thing quickly lead to another.

He stirrs briefly, nearly waking up before he half mumbles and nods back off. ] Mm... yeah... [ A half mumble before he slouches further subconsciously nuzzling his head against her shoulder. ]
