[ he steels a moment to let his breath and pulse settle in tandem, and after a beat he's shuffling a little awkwardly to tug black trousers back into place, top having being discarded somewhere near the door. he's not exactly good at this sort of thing — bringing her here had been more out of convenience, something to grant them privacy, but stargazer heights didn't do much for appeal or hanging around.

[It’s not often that they talk much afterward. It’s rarer that she stays after, either. Discreet wasn’t a concept she had much familiarity with, but in the interest of maintaining some semi-professional distance, she’s hands-off with him and most of the others in AVALANCHE. This particular arrangement had been the result of too much drinking one night, and the general loneliness that accompanied it — the two of them outcasts even among outcasts. It hadn’t been just that, though. It was something she saw in him too, an oddity and strangeness she could not gauge. She didn’t recognize him from her time with their old masters, and yet she could not deny that he moved like she did, had all the markings of a chemical-jacked supersoldier. Even still, there was something wrong with what he was. He made her curious, and in quiet moments to herself she could admit that he made her feel a faint sense of begrudging protectiveness.

She doesn’t say any of that now in the twilight hours, both of them barely comfortable on this narrow old bed in this dingy slum apartment. She’s lying face down on a pillow, her bare and muscled back still covered in a faint sheen of sweat. Her breathing is so slow and relaxed that she might be mistaken for sleeping, but eventually she lazily turns her head to stare at him, one bright green eye barely visible. Even with the unnatural glow, it’s a softer green than the electric hue of mako.]

So? Still alive over there? [She rolls over and sits up, stretching her arms over her head.

She yawns.] Hope so. Last thing I need is having to explain that away.

[This sort of needling was usually reserved for combat. It seemed she was in a joking mood.]

[How ironic that Felix initiated this, when not even a week prior, he'd the one so preoccupied with someone catching Claude sneaking into his room. He'd argue that it's not an issue this time since they're not in their dormitory -- instead, they're tucked away in a cramped storage room just behind the wyvern pens. Not the most romantic spot for a rendezvous (Claude's words, not his), but no one would ever think to look for either of them here.]

[Felix's breath condenses in billows in the chilly air of the Pegasus Moon, warming rapidly against their heated, exposed skin. Both of his hands grasp desperate and tight to Claude's shoulders where his blunt nails carved little crescents into the sunkissed flesh there. Felix's muscles ache everywhere, especially his thighs currently trembling as they Claude's lap; he has some dry hay tangled in his loose hair, and he still has Claude buried deep within him, despite both of them having come already. Yet he hasn't felt this good, this alive, in ages.

He smirks, self-satisfied, down at his lover, tasting the salt on his upper lip.]

After everything quieted down and Zoey was done panting for breath, she rolled onto her side and carelessly flung an arm across Calix's chest, cuddling up against him. She felt pleasantly sore.
