There's still the conversation their sister interrupted, that the entire situation interrupted by dint of there being a crisis that required solving; and that took precedent over pouring all his furious hurt into Loki.

Odin may not have been the best father, but he was still Thor's.

Asgard may have not been the least painful of homes, but it was still theirs.

After hours tending those that survived the flight from the only real home they knew for centuries, soothing children, settling warriors, acting not as a figurehead but as his mother might in times of crisis- the compassion and leniency he felt for his brother is choked out tear by tear, drop by drop of blood or sweat.

The ship is not so large that he can avoid Loki forever- in a rare changing of roles he is, in fact, attempting to avoid his brother until the lightening he feels buzzing at the back of his teeth, crackling at the tips of his fingers isn't quite so overwhelming. When he's lucky? He finds a few hours alone.

Today he is not that lucky. Today he's not able to bite back the wearied question when he finds his brother staring out into the abyss where their home used to be. ]
