I think my only reservation is that Midnight comes on very strong, but if intentions count for anything, he is just the type to be very honest about his feelings. He's older and knows how and when to back off.

Bereft of any way track time, Daryl has come to regard celestial bodies as ghosts that haunt the sky. He wakes to the soul-splitting absence of pain, and he sees the moon, hanging low and greedy. It isn't night, and it isn't day. He will have no rest. No sleep, no nightmares, just the dull press of a forgotten horror. The creature with the enormous metal helmet, dragging that slab of metal, and James-
James' face, as white as the goddamn moon. Maybe it isn't mocking him. Maybe it's afraid.
Daryl registers another sensation in the distant plane of his body-- his feet are wet. He sits up slowly, shoulders aching with phantom pain, and he notices his surroundings. The campfire is a far-off light in the quiet distance. He's at that shitty lake, his feet in the water, and everything smells like damp summer in the swamps outside DC. The world is cold, abandoned and lonely.
The stars are the wrong pattern. This isn't the world. Daryl stands, rubs at his eyes, tries to get his thoughts together. A hook, yeah, and savagely strong hands ripping him away from someone-- James. He was trying to protect James. That thing was coming after him like he was the only one there. And then...
The moon's echo on the face of the water is a pale, misshapen smudge. It isn't a circle at all, it's- and Daryl is an idiot, because it's a face. There's a body in the water. It doesn't matter who, or what, or why, Daryl scrambles forward to drag it out. He half expects it to rise up and bite him, but, no, it's just James, clothes sodden and sinking fast. Daryl gets him onto the shore before he starts trying to pump the guy's lungs. He doesn't really remember CPR, if he ever knew it to begin with. "C'mon, c'mon."

[Either role is fine! If she's the one being tended to, the easiest option would be to have her nanos get temporarily disabled or something, as canonically you feel like shit when that happens. Buuuut I'm down for injuries and such too, I'm not picky.]

Both of her arms are like robotic prosthetics (and she's constantly getting her arms ripped off in canon), so that's an option for any mechanically gifted characters, but down for any injuries/sickness too. If she's the caretaker, Shinobu is likely going to at least banter a little bit, because she's a shit like that.
