You two are sharing a bed for whatever reason and have been for a while. Surely by now, you have a routine on how you get ready for bed. Do you help each other out with your tasks, like putting up your hair, changing into PJs, or brushing teeth? Do you watch TV before you hit the hay? Read? Does one of you want to stay up all night long while the other one just wants to sleep? Then, of course, there's the actual sleeping habits. Does trouble with human contact lead you to sleep with miles between you - and is that an issue - or do you snuggle? Could both of you whisper sweet words into each other's ears across the pillows? [ Aki's not used to having the apartment to himself anymore, what with Denji and Power having been forced upon him, so he's happy to take the invite to stop over at Himeno's after work.

Having lost a bet with her, it was his responsibility to pick up the takeout on his way over. After they ate, being the polite young man he is, he cleared up the plates and took out the bin. It was late, but Aki didn't want to go back just yet, so, he looked through her fridge and grabbed them a beer each before joining Himano out on the balcony where she was having an after-meal smoke. ]

It's getting late. I'll leave after these.

Already? It feels like you just got here.

[Himeno accepts the beer held out to her with a smile. In turn, she holds out her pack of cigarettes to Aki. It's so nice to have the company. Especially his, and especially at her place. It feels more whole this way.]

The kids don't need all-night babysitting, do they? Give yourself a break and stay as long as you want.

[She'll insist if she has to!]

It's been well over two hours. Your sense of time is lacking.

[ He says, in that dry tone of his. Slipping into the borrowed slippers as he steps out and slides the door shut behind him.

Aki isn't going to say no to the offered cigarette, it's her fault he smokes now anyway, so it's the least she can do. Plucking one from the packet and pressing it between his lips as he leans in expectantly for her to light it for him. ]

Kobeni did say she was dropping something for Power off tonight... She can deal with them for a while I guess...

[ Despite his better judgement, Himeno's place was quiet and free of Devils and Fiends. His stomach was content and his mind fairly quiet. It was peaceful here, looking over the city, the patterns their joint cigarette smoke made. ]

...Sure. Why not. I'll stay.

Can you blame me, though? We've been worked to the bone lately. A few hours of actual downtime slips by real quick, you know.

[She is all too glad to light him up. It's satisfying, watching his lips tighten around the cigarette as he inhales. Call her a terrible influence, whatever-- she's heard it all by now. Himeno doesn't think she'll ever get over how good he looks like this.]

Aw, great! [Thaaaaank you, Kobeni!] I'm sure she'll help keep your place mostly intact.

[Himeno holds her beer up to his with glee.] Cheers, to all of our hard work! We really earned this. [Straight to chugging!]

Yea, well, blame the Gun Devil for that. More and more of its flesh keeps showing up.

[ Trust Aki to talk about work while off the clock. He's aware Himeno's watching him intently with that dreamy look in her big bright eye. He's used to it by now.

Leaning back, tipping his chin up to exhale the smoke with a satisfying sigh before he taps the neck of his bottle with hers. Moving to rest his back against the balcony railings. ]

She can call it overtime and watch them all night for all I care.

[ He said, taking another drag of his cigarette. He really should know better than to openly tell Himeno he's free, she's only going to want to get him drunk so he can't drive home.]

One more of these then I'm just drinking water.

[ Steve comes out of the bathroom, freshly-showered, toothbrush still in his mouth as he brushes away but signifies that the bathroom's pretty free for use, and he can go spit and rinse in the kitchen if he needs to. He has on a pair of gray sweatpants but forgoes the shirt, since it's just him and Bucky, so there's not really a need to cover up. ]

Your arm need greasing tonight or are we good?

[ Bucky really ought to take better care of his arm, but Steve does enjoy fussing over it from time to time, so he does a lot of the maintenance.

It's a nice night, and it's pretty late now, for Steve, anyway. If they don't go to sleep together then odds are much higher that Steve tucks in first, adhering to his usual old-man schedule. Usually Steve's internal clock is so precise that the sun could follow along with him instead of the other way around. ]

[Bucky glances up from his spot on the bed and lets his lips roll together at the sight he’s blessed greeted with for his troubles. There is nothing subtle about the way his eyes sweep over him, either.]

Little T-L-C tonight couldn’t hurt.

[Bucky knows perfectly well how to care for his metal arm— can, has, does so just fine on his own all the time. But if he slacks a little bit from time to time, Steve gets antsy and decides to help.

The secret is: Bucky enjoys the intimacy that comes with Steve tending to his arm. It isn’t something he’d allow from just anyone, after all.]

Sure thing.

[ He gives a little smile as he catches Bucky looking, because even after all this time, it sure still makes him flush a little pink.

He retires momentarily to the bathroom to finish brushing his teeth and grabbing some of the polish and lubricant - for Bucky's arm - and plops down beside him, freshly-showered with minty breath.

He gives Bucky's thigh a little pat and then extends his hand, palm up. ]

Sam sends his regards, by the way. Forgot to say so earlier. What'd you end up doing today?

[He smirks slightly as he looks up at Steve.] Anybody ever tell you, you’re cuter when you blush?

[He shifts, that smirk still in place as Steve settles next to him.]

Nothing all that interesting. I’m looking into maybe taking a couple of college classes. I haven’t decided which ones, yet… [It feels strange, the idea that he can do something quite so… benign and mundane. His life is neither of those things.]
