The Lap Pillow Meme

From TV Tropes: A good way to show the physical intimacy and trust which a couple have is to rest one's head on the other's lap. Usually, the man does the resting while the woman provides the lap, not only because of anatomical reasons but because the lap-owner is typically of a nurturing nature more associated with femininity. Bonus points if she's feeding him grapes or stroking his hair. In some cases this is done between people who are not necessarily lovers, to comfort someone who is weeping or injured.

Or, in the case of the meme: screw the rules, we'll do anything. Maybe they're tired and just found a good place to rest? Maybe both parties were asleep? Hard to tell. All we know is, someone's head is going to be on another person's lap. Shenanigans will ensue.

[It has been a long day in a series of long days. Sometimes Orym wonders how the hell they're all still on their feet, but they are. Mostly. Right now though, the halfling has decided that he's had enough of on his feet.

They've made it back to the airship, all a little worse for the wear. Orym has actually taken his armor off for once and left it in his room for the night, though his sword and shield are ever within reach, tucked just next to where he and Dorian are seated on the deck, the others similarly nearby. The weather is warm and mild for once, so perhaps that's some small turn of luck. Orym will take it.

[Dimitri is having a hard day today. He didn't get much sleep last night, and what sleep he did get was plagued by nightmares. There are dark circles under his eyes -- something that brings back some unpleasant memories not only for Dimitri himself, but those near him who fought alongside him during the war. He had also picked up some extra work to do as a result of Jean getting some rest a few days ago. She's much better now, but he hasn't delegated any of it.

Today, Dimitri is trying to get some paperwork done -- writing letters, signing bills, and all that. He's in his private quarters, at his desk, writing -- or trying to. When Jean enters the room, though, he has nodded off in his chair.]
