Elaine puts her back to the wall, sliding to the floor and plugging her chain-whip focus into the outlet to recharge. The sort of magic users she'd trained with in her teens aren't known for mixing magic and technology, but when she's got an affinity for electrical manipulation, and she's learned to think outside the box. When she needs a little extra kick, she's got more than a few tricks up her sleeve.

But facing off against extra-dimensional beings has a tendency to drain a person's energy. Physically. Psychologically. Magically. Elaine's aura is shredded, and she knows this is just a momentary lull in the battle. She needs to be ready for the next onslaught. She needs to recharge, too.

Glancing over at Darcy--who's been working behind the scenes, feeding her intel and helping to keep her out of the worst of the trouble--she reaches out and squeezes the other woman's hand.
