[In the evening, when after many rounds of drinking and plenty of food has been consumed, Molly slips very briefly into Caleb's room he's sharing with Nott tonight. Nott is passed out at the moment, and Caleb's still not here, probably caught up with Beau in some kind of discussion, so he had plenty of time to just drop off his little gift for the wizard man.
He owes the guy- much more than this leather journal is worth, but the magic man always needs paper and places to write shit down, so it will be useful at least? There's also a very bad attempt at leaving a note on the first page, his handwriting being extremely bad, but there was an effort? The note reads simply: "For all the magic you'll bring yet - Molly". There's also a small doodle of a cat- Frumpkin- in corner of the page.
After placing the journal there and tossing a blanket over drooling Nott, he sneaks back out and goes to find Fjord to make him uncomfortable with oversharing. Because that's just what he does.]

[ Word gets around fast when you only willingly talk to about five people, so even if Nilou isn't the type to go as far to complain about misfortunate circumstances, Alhaitham hears all about the latest goings-on at the Zubayr Theater. Celebration and artistry has become more popular since Kusanali regained her position, and so the Theater had decided to hold a festival based on a now-obscure holiday once celebrated by the people of the Ardravi Valley. The troupe, he'd heard, had tried to procure rainforest flowers but found the prices too high to justify the purchase.
As it happens, Alhaitham also knows of a recent experiment by Amurtan researchers that went awry and left Pardis Dhyai inconveniently overflowing with flowers.
So out of the blue, a letter turns up at the Theater: ]
