Hey. I'm very aware if you blast me anywhere, I probably deserved it. So knowing that makes you safe rather than scary. So I can respect and admire you from a sensible distance. A distance that doesn't get one thrown into the sky.
My logic makes sense to me. Not that you're the first that's ever said that to me.
That you are. Unfortunately the same can't be said of me. Which is why I'll ask now if you've blasted our persistent pal into the atmosphere yet? Or has he wised up somehow and left well enough alone?
He is gone for now. Hopefully for good. I do not want to have to alter my run just because we occasionally share the same route. And has the same repertoire of small talk every time we match pace.
What, you don't like talking about the weather every day? If you ever need a safe space to work out you can always come to my gym. Private. Top of the line equipment. No one telling you it's cold outside.
Lucky you. Rain too, I suppose. Nothing gets in the way of your beat. You should pair with Cap sometime. Think he needs a consistent workout buddy that doesn't shy away when the weather hits.
I would imagine that Captain Rogers has no shortage of eager workout buddies? He seems like the type who would have all sorts of people asking for help or advice, no matter the weather. [Isn't there a Captain America fanclub or something.]
And yet is somehow always in need of one more. I can put in a good word for you. Trust me if you want a good work out he'll kick your ass. And not ask you questions about the weather or ask you what you did with your weekend. I promise.
I would love a good work out. But I promise to give as good as he does; I hope he would not mind - if you will pardon the language - getting his own ass handed back right to him.

I am glad to be a safe, sensible friend to you then, Tony Stark.

And the cold is never an issue, inside or outside.
[For... obvious reasons.]

But I believe I wanted a running partner before a sparring partner - I would prefer to lead with that.

But sure. Kinda wanna see that too. I think he gets secret joy out of running faster than most of our usual pack. Think you can take him?

There may or may not be a tailwind tailored to my favour.
