Sure, complimenting personalities bring people together. It's always good to get along with your significant other or friends, so "birds of a feather flock together," as they say. But let's be honest. That doesn't make for good entertainment. Readers and viewers love a good odd couple, where the two are diametrically different. This can be in personality (good girls and bad boys), appearance (Beauty & the Beast, anyone?), species (ALIEN AND HUMAN LOVE IS REAL!!!1), and so on.

This meme is inspired by this concept and a certain song that probably shows your age if you recognize it. According to Wikipedia, "the lyrics are about a couple who love each other despite being different in just about every way possible." And...that pretty much summarizes the meme, too! (Though, it doesn't have to be love. Hate can be an option.)

HOW TO PLAY

(Thinking of a situation where maybe Asura is, sure chaotic, but not actually all that deadly an influence/was put away for shitty reasons. So we have a chaotic fuck, partied with a girl who would've been a nun in another life.

She slowly gets to know/like Asura, and they rub off on each other. She gets a little less stuffy, and he gets a bit more caring.

Depending on where in the relationship they are, he can absolutely get away with being needy about sex/affection if you want to take it in that direction.)

(Oooh, interesting idea! His version of events is that he was locked up for defying his tyrannical father, so a bit of a tweak so that's actually the case, he can be a chaotic fuck without being as bad as usual. I had a quick wiki look at her, and we could have something like she was a part of the religion that worships his father and turned on them when it became clear, yeah, they're tyrants. Gives them a little something as a bond.

How about we start off with a scene when the relationship tips over to outright affection? Two concepts hit me off the top of my head- a) Asura tries to get her to do something fun she'd normally not indulge in (snowball fight, skinny dipping or something?) and she goes for it or b) Asura is on the downswing of his erratic behaviour (I'm picturing him being scared of lightning or something equally minor that has him upset) and Eleanor treats him so nicely, he falls for her.

Being needy for her is a++ my jam, though. )

(Ooh that works perfectly. Being afraid of a lightning storm works because that'll tap into her desire to take care of others. Which will also unlock his ability to give her the puppy dog eyes to request something.

Maybe after that they'll go to a natural hot spring and he'll ask her to join him? She has a rather prominent scar on her chest, so him being a sweetheart about it would be lovely and cement her affection for him.)
