he's allowed to. only him. the forbidden knowledge is kuja's alone.
He still nods gently at his second rating, at least slightly higher than his other one, and then blankly follows Kuja's finger with his eyes. Ah? Ah...Yeah. Ah. That's a good reason to be curious, isn't it? And Dimos can't even say that he picks his own outfits, but...]
As long as the wound is filled in, then pain felt from the sensors in that area can be ignored. It is better to cover it up where I can.
...It is good that you are not afraid of me. You have no reason to fear me. Not at all.

...anyway, when Dimos says things like that, it really reinforces Kuja's choice to put him so high. Such blistering earnestness requires a little bit of handling with tongs. With Dimos, for instance, a flippant 'oh, walk off a bridge' could get dramatically different results than with most. ]
...That cut has always interested me. A fatal wound, on a normal man... I had wondered if it pained you as a regular scar might. [ His curiosity is purely intellectual, considering Kuja cheats. He doesn't have any scars, he wouldn't understand the ache of one. ]

Ah.
[That explains a slightly higher rating, perhaps. He'll take it, even if it makes him whirr-hum with something that might qualify as amusement in someone who'd recognise it.
...Is it really so strange that he has scars from what may disqualify organic opponents, though? Dimos pauses for a moment, before dropping his hands to the bandages at his waist and starting to quietly unwind them, too. Hints of dull red 'flesh' had been visible prior, but as gauze comes away, all that scarring links into a jagged cut right across his waist.
A rush job, clearly. Not fully completed, but complete enough to get the full picture. There's a matching ring around his throat, hidden by bandages, but only one scar needs to be revealed to make his point.]
It pulls taut, at times. There are benefits and downsides to both forms of skin; my original is more flexible, and better fitted to my frame, and the patches less so. The melding is imperfect at times, too.
So I suppose it does hurt. But I do not pay it any mind. There are too many places where fatal injuries have been wrought for me to bother.

[ Dimos being an artificial man isn't the part he gets hung up on - it's the inorganic part. It makes him wonder lots of things. Part of what makes injuries like that deadly is that an animal needs all that muscle to keep together, right? Maybe Dimos is just too.. connected, inside. Would it be more like carving up a tree?
Yet it looks for all the world like muscle bunches and moves beneath his skin...
A little closer scrutiny couldn't hurt, right? It's another time Kuja's came in close to satisfy his curiosity, though he doesn't seamlessly brush into Dimos' personal space like last time. ]
Too many? More than you can could recollect, or...
[ He trails off, then points briefly to Dimos' chest, and puts up one finger on his other hand. One. His eyes play across the waist cut, hanging a little to take in the prominent V it crossed over. Two fingers.
He scans the rest of him, but this outfit's big on leaving things to the imagination - he can see the right side of his ribs, and a sliver of his face around his eyes. He hadn't noticed the chains on the hat before. That's a funny touch. ]
One, two... I can only imagine the rest...

[He tips his head to the side, which. Looks ridiculous, with the beak mask on. But the point's been made, so he doesn't particularly want to actually reveal the scars on his face, too.
Better to keep an air of mystery, than to reveal the ugly truth. Even if it's not scary to Kuja, it likely won't be positive; Dimos knows that much, despite not quite fathoming the reason for that gently lingering gaze. Someone tell him about Vagina Bones please god, he genuinely can't fathom any horny gaze being directed at his busted ass.]
...I will endeavour to avoid showing you the rest, if this helps. It is better to surround yourself with beauty, where you can manage it. [His eyes twitch then, almost as if they're crinkling from the tiniest smile. Only for a millisecond, however. A trick of the light, perhaps.]
