[Momiji is surprisingly unperturbed when the elevator lurches to a halt. He lets his inadvertent companion fuss with the buttons and the emergency phone while simply looking at his cell (verdict: no reception) and bouncing on tiptoe as if to keep himself occupied.

Once all avenues of immediate escape are exhausted, though, he starts bouncing a tad more urgently, eying the door and his co-prisoner with quiet concern.]

Soooo-o... [He says finally, as if this were a very casual situation. Just, you know, giving you an update in passing here.]

[From her side of the elevator she watches with bated breath as Zack attempts to pry the door open and fails. It was obvious from the tenseness of her shoulders and the frown on her face that she didn't like the current situation- If it hadn't been for Zack's presence she would have been freaking out more than usual. The sound of his voice pulls her back to focus and gets her to halt her momentary pacing, wings trembling anxiously underneath her jacket.

She chirps once in agreement, the sound akin to that of a bird as she slips out a sleek-looking smartphone, fingers typing something out and then pressing play:] Um.. Sure, I guess that would be fine. [It is the sound of a woman's robotic monotone voice that blares from the device, speaking for her.

She lets out a shaky breath, anxiously shifting from foot to foot. She figures playing a little game would help ease the stress she was feeling.]

[It says a lot about Zack's own experiences that he doesn't question or even blink twice at the young woman's wings and her method of communication. Her almost-palpable anxiety attracts more of his attention, anyway.

Hey. We don't have to, if you really don't want to, y'know? I just brought it up because it's too quiet in here and we're gonna be stuck for a bit more.

[Not too much more, he hopes. He's not thrilled with being stuck in a large metal box suspended who-knows how far up, either. Gives him the heebie-jeebies.

He smiles a little toward her, hoping it's welcoming enough, and offers a slight wave of his hand.]

[ For his part, Steve doesn't seem particularly bothered by the sudden stop, nor the partial darkness they've been plunged into - the emergency lights are on along the top and bottom perimeter, so that's something. He can still see Tony just fine, though he wonders if the reverse is true.

Maybe it's just his imagination, but the situation seems to be bothering Tony more than it ought to...

He turns his attention to the panel of buttons, pressing the Emergency Call button, which emits a high-pitched tone which cuts itself off. He tries again - same story. ]

Any idea what that means?
