YOU'RE MY MISSION You're the kind of person who works best with a stone-set goal or a purpose in your life. Even if those duties were thrust upon you with no input of your own, even if that's all you know - especially if that's all you know - you find yourself most at home when you have a job and you do it. Unfortunately, though, what you've dedicated yourself has gone belly up and you're left reeling. That is until you find a new mission: a person. They could have shown you kindness when you needed it most, they may seem like someone with a cause. A cause, that's good. That's what you need. You can serve this. All of your focus, all of your resolve, all in one place; it's no wonder when your feelings begin to blur and "professionalism" and such is no longer the order of the day, if it ever was. So now, you're dedicated to them, which has its ups and downs. You have to protect them, keep them safe, keep them successful, and do what needs to be done for them - their dirty work, if need be - though they may not ask or want this. They especially may not want your brand of service. But loving them normally, of course, would be the most healthy way to channel all this, yet perhaps you're not sure how. ((ooc: /happy yelling OMG a Doyle! I was wondering if you'd be up for a thread with one of mine? Any of mine. I would be super happy to toss any of them into Angel canon. I'll give descriptions because I figure these canons are on the obscure side (and then there's the tabletop OC).

There's this guy, of course. Centaur sherif from about the 1880s California in his canon. Very charming, can be a bastard, actually cares more about people than he'd be willing to admit.

Or there's the (AI/reincarnated freedom fighter) soldier who got turned into an obligate cannibal demon along with a few thousand other soldiers by a government experiment and then his canon actually went even more to shit. Very honorable, died by heroic sacrifice (twice!), and in general would be very confused by most things because what is including non-combat relevant knowledge in a soldier?

Or maybe a wee fairy forest spirit general devoted to keeping balance between the forces of life and decay and just went through one hell of a wild ride to save (his corner of) the world. Has a sense of humor under the duty, grieving, could use some time to just let go. (also can totally come with optional size shenanigans, because that's a thing in his canon. he's usually less than three inches tall)

And then a spunky young orphan teen who isn't afraid to swear like a sailor or sass at a dragon, but may have worthiness issues due to being rescued from a really abusive home situation as a small child, and that's before her canon turned her life into a literal slasher flick, brutal ghost of a very prolific serial killer possessing a poor bastard to try to murder her and all. Oh and she comes with 60+ lbs of very grumpy wolverine as her magically bonded animal companion.

Or an OC who got kidnapped by True Fae, horribly transfigured into something not really human anymore during a hellish time spent their captive, and finally escaped only to discover that everything he knew and loved passed away over a literal century ago. Because the True Fae are absolute dicks like that.

[ The mission was something out of a horror movie from the start. Bravo Team has already gone missing, and what was left of Alpha Team has been chased into a zombie infested mansion by mutated dogs. It was a shit show and now they were all separated without radio contact. Wesker had been on his lonesome wandering through the corridors making sure that everything has gone according to plan, however, things changed. There was something eating away at him from the inside that he couldn't shake -- worse than the rot of the reanimated corpses; The feelings that grew intensely for another until it threatened to suffocate him. She'd been a liability from the start but he could never bring himself to do anything about it. It's now with a literal pained heart that he can no longer stand the feelings eating away inside of him.

Wesker puts a hand to his head gritting his teeth. It shouldn't be this way and this mission should be done with already. He knew that things were going to get worse for them and that they may even die like the rest of the STARS members. He had been previously fine with this, but there was one he was not fine with. He couldn't be.

With a grunt, he darts off firing rounds sparingly at the strays in between -- the infected staff of the mansion and test subjects that littered the halls and rooms. He knows where she should be by now, and when he hears the sound of a piano in the distance he knows for certain it's her. No one else could crack that puzzle and play like she could save for himself. Wesker trots over putting a hand to her shoulder before she's able to enter the secret room. ]

she doesn't do feelings, she doesn't like being touched (even if deep down she's actually touched starved). she hates humans. she hates pureblood elves. so good luck to anyone i guess?
