"Relax. I'm not the guy who goes touching things." Okay, so maybe he kind of was. One of those people who tapped a finger on a hanging glass just to see if it'll move. But picking stuff up and turning it over wasn't his preference. Especially when it came to gross stuff like he saw in that mine-based lab. Ugh. Or high tech equipment. He barely touched Vergil's computer. "So you're using the bad guy's tech? Nice. You don't waste a thing."
Guess a computer was a computer no matter who used it. And bad guys need their shit running well too, so it'd be in working order without a problem. Or many problems as far as the BSAA was concerned. Dante bit down on another piece, then stole one of Chris' for a comparison sample. Grungy as he could be, Dante would've griped if they went from spelunking in the moldy mines straight to a lab to do some work. Plus sleep was a thing, even if Chris forgot that sometimes.
"Nope. And you're not either." Putting that out there at the same time. "One of your guys side armed me a note saying make sure you get some sleep tonight." Dante tauntingly nudge back. And he was gonna make good on his word. Even if that meant wearing the older man out and hiding the alarm on his side of the bed.
Compromising because he also knew he couldn't keep Chris in bed till lunch. Waking up around 8 or 9 wasn't a problem. Groan if he wanted, the Nephilim could run on little to zero sleep for longer than a human. Dante just liked to sleep. It felt good and made him feel human. Ironic because sometimes Chris had the drive and mindset of someone who wasn't human...
"So we're sitting here until all that data's been dragged out?" Dante looked up over his pizza slice. He didn't mind the boring work as long as he had something else to do in the meantime. But if the BSAA and Chris were gonna plunk down for a few weeks and stare at computers, Dante was going to bounce until Chris called him back. He couldn't sit around the apartment for days doing nothing.
