If you want you can try and check if his spirit is in the afterlife.

I can, but it'd be a little involved since I don't know him.

All we need is a shovel and some food to sacrifice for the dead. Nothing fancy; a kid's meal from McDonald's or some other fast-food place will work.

[A small pause. He knows he probably should be asking whether this guy was really being serious here or not but oh well. He's used to roll with the weird.

He digs out a small piece of candy in a wrapper from his pocket]

This okay?

[Nico frowns at the candy.]

If we get a can of pop or something to go with it, it'll do. I can spring for that.

[He looks up, offers a smile. He smiles a lot more these days, but sometimes he still feels like he's forgotten how.]

I know it seems weird. But it'll work. [Probably. He's never tried to summon a ghost that didn't touch his pantheon's sphere of influence.]

If he's not dead, we might summon someone who knows where he is.
