[Local fourteen year old seizes control of Gotham Academy and turns it into a large shelter with the help of his fifteen foot tall dragon bat. He's hellbent on protecting Gotham no matter what, and wants to reclaim the city so he can find his family.]

[ If you want to use her canon as basis, it's not an apocalypse and is just part of the ecosystem at this point. Prefer either that, canon mash-ups, or jamjar/game settings (especially if complete apocalypse). ]

[ Jake was used to fighting, used to killing -- people, good or bad, the infected -- it didn't make a difference to him. Now these freaks were everywhere and someone was desperate enough to pay people to take them out. The monsters of men and manufactured monsters weren't any different after a while. One man's loss was always another man's profit. Jake knew what he was doing -- knew that he was different and knew that he could handle whatever nightmare scenario came his way, most of the time. So why not be one of the ones who would profit? That was his MO until the pay wasn't paying anymore.

Someone screwed up and it sure as hell wasn't him. He did what he was paid to do and when the wire-transfer didn't come he decided to pay his employer a visit. When no one answered, he kicked down the door only to find that the bastard had been infected and was turning faster than he's seen people turn in the past. It was a matter of a snap decision that was the difference between his own life or death. So he shot the guy point blank where it matters, but he didn't go down easy. He ended up wasting 3 of the 15 rounds that he originally had, not to mention that he already used 7 taking down his original target. That left him with 5 rounds and only 1 15-round mag left on reserve. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't exactly ideal since ammo was a bitch to get these days even for a mercenary like him. Luckily, he didn't always need to rely on a gun for a job, or survival. Though a little help wouldn't hurt if he'd been caught up in a hoard.

Taking fire from the BSAA wasn't exactly his idea of "help" although they'd helped in thinning out a hoard that was getting too close for comfort. Jake tried to reserve some of his ammo taking to some spinning leg-sweeps to some coupe de graces -- his signature Windfall -- not wanting to waste time on spinning DDTs and suplexes for the time being. His first course of action was to lose the "friendly fire" and duck into an alleyway to try to shake off the heavier artillery. It so happens he's got a few supplies stashed away in hiding he could use to restock his ammo and grab some flashbangs in the process. It wasn't much, but it'd get him through another hoard if it came down to it if he could avoid taking any further heat. ]

[ Jill might say she's used to fighting and death, but she wasn't. There was something that kept it out of her bones as much as it seeped into her flesh and made her feel more whole when she fought. It was confusing at times and harrowing at its worst; memories could flood her at any moment, even though she'd swear that she fought them off years ago and they didn't affect her. It's the people that dig in the deepest, even the ones she didn't know. The faces and voices of those begging her for mercy when she was under Wesker's guiding hand were the worst of them, but they all have begun to blur together into some nightmarish visage that wants nothing more than to survive.

She survived, though. Jill always did.

In this situation, the BSAA had been called in and quickly mobilized to cauterize the wound that was bleeding out BOWs. It had been just a report of virus trade mere days ago and escalated like it was going to be another Raccoon City with how infested the place was at this point. Jill never liked to compare anything to Raccoon because nothing would ever be like it, but it was the basis for citywide infection standards now, especially if it looked like they might have to bomb the place to make it breathable again. So far, there wasn't plan or order for that and she was hoping it could all be solved with boots on the ground. There are a few groups scattered about, going for small bursts of back-up power in order to hopefully contain the spread.

Jill was with Parker, but they got separated when crumbling stairs fell apart further just as Jill jumped a gap. There wasn't any other way around nearby to her knowledge, so she finds herself trying to meet up with him by running about. The goal is to rendezvous with a small group of BSAA soldiers and if one of them runs into them first, take them with them while looking for the other. No such luck as of yet, but Jill does spot someone on the run and manages to rush behind them -- just barely -- and nearly losing them with a twist and turn along the tight alleyways. If they're a civilian, she'll lend aid, but with the urgency of the movement, she's betting on something worse.

She can't see at the distance she's at, but she's a sureshot if she ever had one. he aims her favored Beretta and raises her voice. ]

Stop where you are! BSAA! Put any weapons you may have on the ground and stand still! [ She'd order him to put his hands on his head once she's close enough, but the guy is starting to look awfully familiar. Soon enough, she's got her gun at her side rather than pointed for his head and she's sighing. ] What are you doing here?

[ It might as well be permission to keep his weapons with the tone she takes. It's a little exasperated, but equally relieved. ]

[ Nemesis is disguised as a human, a psychic sheath giving the impression of a generically handsome man with non-descript details- the mind of an observer fills in what makes sense to them.

Except he stands out anyway, because in the midst of a devastated landscape he sits atop a crashed truck and plays a tune on a saxophone, ignoring the amassing horde of undead attracted to the display. ]

So, the zombies are a problem.

She'd always known, on some level, that this shit wasn't just happening in the Ghost River Triangle, but it's one thing to ignore Lucado's monologues about all the shit Black Badge puts up with and another to be overrun by Undead McShambles-a-lot when she's just trying to gas up the bike.

Peacemaker glows and she squeezes the trigger, and as a sharp report cracks out, one of the groaning, glassy-eyed things collapses. The others wander over the fallen body, reaching up with grasping hands towards where Wynonna's perched on the gas station roof. "You get your hands off my bike!" she yells at them, taking careful aim at another pallid grey forehead. "Pretty sure they revoke your driver's license after you kick it, anyway."

[ Very capable and well armed werewolf/supernatural hunter. Great Zombie Apocalypse partner. Familiar with a few zombie apoc settings like Walking Dead, Resident Evil, and Last of Us. ]
