I think that it is your eyes, they are very beautiful.

[The rest of the stranger's appearance isn't lost on Viviane, but when one is from a magical world these things are quite ordinary. Though... she supposes that she's never seen anyone with a halo before.]

[Sheepishness makes its way into her features, but the smile she offers in return is still bright enough to rival the sun.]

Of course. But you may call me 'Viviane'. Miss is very polite, and... formal. And I want to talk to you more.

I'd love to. My name is Crimvael, but you can call me Crim for short.

[The angel floated closer to her with a smile. If they weren't floating, they'd be a bit shorter than Viviane, about up to her shoulders.]

Is there something in particular you wanted to know?

It is very nice to meet you, Crim-- [Oh! She can't help but stare in wonder as they float, wondering what it's like.] ...Are you an angel? I know that there are stories of them from Earth, but I have never met one before.

[Although, she can't quite remember if they were said to look like this one. Not a being to be afraid of, but a potential friend.]

Yes, I'm an angel, though depending on the telling I've learned the stories from other worlds might paint us in a bad light.

[They said, a bit embarrassed.]

You said "from Earth" though. Is that meaning you're not from Earth either?

I think the same is true for many, but I do not believe that angels are bad or frightening. I do see how someone could see them as frightening if they do something to warrant it, but...

[She knits her brows together, a frown tugging at her lips.]

I am not afraid of you, Crim. [A pause.] But no, I am not from Earth. My original home is a world called Aurea where magic is everywhere. Different Queens govern over each season and I am one of them.

Thank you, Viviane.

[They smile warmly at her in response, listening to what she had to say of her world.]

My world doesn't have Queens of the seasons like that, but we do have magic in abundance.

[Crim thought about calling Viviane "your majesty" but that wasn't how she introduced herself.]

So which season do you rule over, Viviane?

You needn't thank me for that. [Her smile softens, and for a few moments it's as if she glows with light.] I have not yet heard of another world with Season Queens, but worlds with magic do seem to be quite common.

[She smooths the skirt of her dress, lifting her chin slightly.]

Summer. Had I not been an only child I might've competed for the title, but I was lucky enough to be my mother's only heir.

Summer is a really lovely season. It's warm, and that means the markets are usually bustling with people.

[They hum in thought.]

Yeah, it would be bad to have to fight for it. Do you sometimes wish you had a sibling that you could cooperate with, though? It must be lonely being queen sometimes.

Mm. It is -- naturally -- my favorite season, and when I am happiest. I can keep warm in the colder seasons with my magic easily enough, but I miss the sun when it is gone.

[She falters, then, clasping her hands together. It is lonely, and despite having had her whole life to get used to that... she doesn't know how.]

Sometimes. Even when I was a child I did not play with the other children, more focused on my training and studies. I wanted to be someone my mother could be proud of and be worthy of my title, and... perhaps that would have been easier to bear if I'd had a sibling.

[Seeing Viviane's reaction, Crim felt bad, clearly having brought up a sore subject. They placed their hands over Viviane's clasped hands, and smiled up at her.]

Well... I might not be able to help you rule, but you've at least made a friend today. Hopefully I can at least give you moments where you're not thinking about your duties?

[Though the gesture makes her freeze for the briefest moment, her shoulders relax and she tentatively takes their hands. Intertwining their fingers together.]

...Thank you, dear one. [A careful -- though soft -- smile touches her lips.] Though you are not able to help me rule, my burden already feels a little lighter. I am not very experienced in friendship, but... I hope go fix that.
