[ It's a matter of safety too. Anyone who might still want Xue Yang dead isn't likely to think to look in a dilapidated coffin home in what is basically a ghost town. Honestly, it's the perfect hiding place.

Xue Yang chuckles and leans up to kiss Xingchen. ] Mnn... I don't care either.

[Xingchen would be very upset if people came to hunt his friend down. He would defend him to the death until...learning the truth. Which he wouldn't believe until his friend confirmed it.

[ Xue Yang laughs a little and nips Xingchen's lip. ]

[ He's never lived a conventional life, so why start now? This is as close to a home as he's ever had. ]

[ He wraps his arms around Xingchen and presses a kiss to the top of his head. ]

Mmm... I might be jealous if you do it again. [ He teases, but he definitely would be. Xiao Xingchen is his. He leans up to kiss him again, a little more insistently. ]

I wouldn't risk your jealousy. [Xingchen groans in surprise, pleased that his friend likes him so much!] Mmm you're the most important no matter what.

Good. [ Xue Yang grins and kisses him again. It's nice to be important to someone... ] You're mine now, Daozhang~.

He laughs a little.]

Not sure I'd call myself a treasure, but why wouldn't you deserve that?

[ Xue Yang frowns a little and rolls off of Xingchen - but only so he can pull him into his arms and up against his chest. He must be talking about Song Lan. He had never talked about him before. ]

You're none of those things. A-Qing and I depend on you, and you haven't failed us.

[ He presses a kiss to Xingchen's forehead. Fucking Song Lan. ] What happened? [ He doesn't know everything that had happened after he blinded Song Lan, and he's curious. ]

[He feels panicked, but then...he's back in those arms. Relaxing, he hugs his friend to him and listens to his voice. He likes his voice. When he speaks to him, he's so...gentle.]

[The warmth gives him strength and he says the words he has hidden.]

Someone close to me was...hurt. Badly hurt by a man I should have stopped. He blamed me for it - for not being careful enough. I tried to make it up to him by giving him my eyes. Sounds like he blamed the wrong person. [ He murmurs. He can't exactly complain that things turned out that way though, since he'd not have Xiao Xingchen in his arms like this if not for Song Lan being such an idiot. ]

[ It leaves him feeling weird hearing all of that. It really doesn't feel like Xingchen is talking about him. He feels upset and kind of pissed off on Xingchen's behalf, all the while knowing he's the reason for it. It's confusing.
