Shipping and smut memes are all well and good, but sometimes, people can feel a bit left out or hesitant to tag people on them. There's usually a lot of assumptions that have to be made, and we're afraid that what the person we're tagging really wants is a castmate or someone they already thread/ship with. And that's daunting.

In this meme, throw all that out the window. What we have here is nothing but RANDOM MASS SHIPPING as far as the eye can see. Like this character? Tag them. Have no clue who they are but want someone to play with? Tag. Think they have a pretty icon? TAG THAT RIGHT NOW. The pairings don't even have to make sense; heck, the more out of context, the better. You might just find that hey, this actually makes perfect sense! And that's the beauty.

HOW TO PLAY

She's newly out of her mourning dress and veil. She's newly able to smile again, to properly look after her child, to go out and face the day with her head held high.

Of course Andrew's been more help than she can say. Of course he's been absolutely a sticking place, a reason she's not completely gone off the deep end and left Eileen completely alone in the world. Of course there's no way in the world to properly thank him for everything he's done.

She asks Lance to look after Eileen for the afternoon, glad to leave the girl with someone who loves the child so well. She puts on a long dress, dark colours, but also, for the first time in ages, small pieces of jewelry. She makes the tea herself.

And she waits for Andrew to stop by.

It's been good, to see her able to smile again. It's what's helped him manage to do the same, for real, not just the careful little ones he's given the Suit as their King.

He isn't expecting anything. Doesn't listen to the voice in the back of his mind that whispers this could be his chance to be with her at last-- hates that part of himself, really, when he isn't busy grieving over the loss of his best friend.

But none of that is what he's focusing on now. What he's focusing on is being there for Argine when she needs him.

So of course he'll stop by, rapping calmly on her door after his morning meetings are finally done.

He's still completely lost when he hears Erica coming home. He can't even look up and ask her for help. All he can do is stare.

There'd not been anything particularly exciting or interesting about the day, for her. Just the usual at the shop that she'd still managed to hold a job down in despite the craziness of the rest of their lives. So she doesn't launch into any outrageous tale when she returns to their home-- and isn't that a nice thought, still-- just calls to him a greeting and goes to put the groceries away.

It doesn't take long before she notes that he hadn't responded despite the fact that she knew he was there, and sorting out the fruit basket is abandoned in lieu of her making her way towards him and resting a hand on his shoulder in quiet worry.

He jumps slightly at the sudden touch. He had half been aware of the fact she was home, but so much of his attention was lost in trying to keep breathing that he barely noticed her actual approach.

"...you're home." Obviously. It takes a few seconds to shake himself out of absolute distraction, into being able to focus on her face. "...hi."

The memories are still faint. The blending of lives is still confusing as anything. The time they spend in each other's company doesn't always make things better, sometimes leaves him clouded and frustrated and searching for something he doesn't understand in his own mind.

But today is a good day. Today, sitting over a chessboard and holding hands lightly at the side, not quite playing so much as enjoying being close to one another, there isn't any question in his mind.

If he doesn't think, doesn't get lost in technicalities and worries, this is all he needs. This is clear. This is what he wants.

His body is half-leaning over the table before he thinks to stop himself. "...may I?"

It's been strange, settling in again into this old-new life, trying to figure out what parts of Esther are Rachel and what parts are Astraia and what she as a whole feels.

Things still feel fuzzy with Asarlai. She knows it's a disappointment to the man that it is so, but she also knows that her return has given him the closure he's needed. Perhaps now he can heal from the loss without bitterness.

Things feel clearer with Dieter. So much so that she's leaning in herself before he even asks.

The smile on her face is soft but very real, "You may. Please."

She's leaning closer. So much more than that, she's smiling a soft smile that his entire being--all the fractured pieces of the men he was and is and will be--recognizes easily enough.

Whoever she is, he loves her. Whoever she was, he needs her now. Whoever she could be, he can't be without her now that she's here.

It's important to say before he leans in the rest of the way, lifts a hand from the pawn it had been holding to catch her chin and bring her lips in against his.
