Even though it was below zero outside with snow falling and frost icing up the window panes, Tim was a bundle of sweat and heat as he tried to block the next attack Cor sent his way. They'd been at it for an hour, and Tim's muscles were protesting, but he wasn't one to give up. This was important. Not just for Tim's own personal growth as a vigilante on his own but for Gotham City itself. If he couldn't keep up with one guy for an hour, how was he supposed to defend his home on long nights during patrols?

So Tim took it and carried on until his limbs were shivery and he had to take a knee. His bo staff had long been knocked away, and he wasn't quite as good at hand to hand without it. Maybe it was becoming a crutch.

"Okay," he panted, holding up a hand. "I yield." He bowed his head, sweat drizzling off his nose and hanging his hair over his face. He felt every bit a failure in that moment.

Cor understood when someone needed training for true self-defense, and when they were just power-hungry. Tim was absolutely in the former, humbling asking to be taught Cor's style of fighting as a means to protect those important to him. Or so the initial excuse went. The older man had a sneaking suspicion that there was more to it, but nothing nefarious.

He's glad that he took Tim in as his latest student. The lad was a stubborn one, lasting for as long as an hour in this latest session. Cor himself is faring somewhat better than the younger man, but even he was not expecting him to keep up for this long without a break. Inwardly, he's impressed. Outwardly, though, he retains that stoic facade as he straightens up. "Your stamina is respectable; not many of my students last this long so soon. But you still have much to improve on, young man." He gestures to the bench where their bags are laying at, along with their water bottles.

There's something about the compliments Cor gives him that make Tim feel hot and flustered inside. Cor has been nothing but professional since they started; it's just Tim and his penchant for wanting things he can't have that has him fantasizing about his new teacher lingering with a touch too long or looking at him when he stretched. His imagination, surely. Wishful thinking, definitely.

But the praise is good nonetheless, and Tim stands, thankful for the bottled water waiting for him as he guzzles it down and a little excess spills out over his chin, sluicing down the front of his shirt, which is already stuck to his willowy but muscled build.

"Respectable seems like high praise from you," Tim says, grinning a little. He brushes his hair back, catching his breath as he looks at Cor. God, the guy is attractive. Hot as fuck, if he's honest. He looks away again. "Gimme ten and we can go again."

The thing is it's not Tim's overactive imagination, not of late. Some of Cor's touches have lingered a moment too long, or he catches himself looking at Tim a certain way while the lad stretches. The older man can't deny that his student is quite handsome; the fact that he's not full of himself like most other young men simply makes him far more attractive.

He's taking a sip of water himself, but his eyes catches how some of that excess drips down to that willowy chest. It's only for a moment, but then he looks right back up at the younger man's face. "Hn. Some people see it that way," he quips in that dry, slightly teasing tone he takes sometimes. In truth, he is pleased that the lad seems to be catching on to when he gives out actual praise in his own manner.

He takes another swig before he starts to wipe off the sweat of his brow. His own tank top clings to his chest, showing off well-defined muscles from years of practicing and perfecting his fighting style. He sits not far from Tim, setting his practice weapon aside before taking another sip of his water. Even as he sips, though, he's sneaking another glance over Tim's body, trying to be discreet about it.

He knows he shouldn't be like this, not with his own student. But...he is still quite human...

Okay.... Maybe Tim isn't imagining as much as he thought. It's not like he hasn't been stared at before, but honestly? It's usually girls, women, and not all that often, as Tim is usually in oversized clothes that hide his physique. Anyway, he doesn't think he's anywhere near Cor's league, which is like off the charts sexy. But he's pretty sure just then, as he wipes his chin clean with his forearm, that Cor is looking at him in a way that's definitely not teacher to student.

"Do you take on many students?" he asks, meandering in front of Cor so that his hips are kind of eye level with how Cor is sitting. One hand on his hip, Tim stretches a bit as he takes another drink, his gaze trained on Cor this time to see if he's going crazy or not.

There's a flash of mild surprise as Tim seems to notice him looking. Is the lad upset, or... No, not yet, it seems. Rather, the younger man meanders closer to him, and Cor does his best to keep a professional calm over himself and keep his eyes up toward's Tim's face. "Not as many these days. I used to have more, but they either washed out or refused to get over their own egos."

But even as he bends his head down to cap his bottle water, his eyes couldn't help but linger a little as they trailed back up Tim's young and very fit body. "You are, however, different from most of the others. This isn't your first fighting style, nor am I your first teacher in martial arts. I don't get very many of your type coming into my studio asking for further training."

"Even when you think you're the best at what you do, there's always room to improve," Tim says, and his gaze catches Cor's as it lingers. A little shiver flutters through Tim like a breeze, and he finds himself unbelievably warm and responsive. It's not impossible that someone like Cor might be interested... But Tim should know better. This is a new teacher for him, he shouldn't fuck it up with sex or whatever is there between them.

But at the same time it's been a while, and Tim's only human too.

"I mean, I thought I'd take you down after a half hour and look where we are now." He smiles as he playfully pokes Cor's shoulder. "I'm drenched and exhausted. So clearly, I have more to learn." Tim allows his touch to linger on Cor's shoulder, sliding towards his neck. Fuck. He wants Cor. Wants to crawl in his lap and kiss him. "Especially from you."

"Wise way of viewing things," Cor murmurs, allowing himself to show a little of his pleasure and pride towards Tim in his voice. The lad seems to have his head on straight, for the most part, and it's rather reassuring for the older man. He doesn't have to worry about Tim trying to get into too much trouble...or so he thinks.

Cor glances over at those fingers lingering on his shoulder, and his gaze takes its time to trail back up that arm towards Tim's face. "Is that so? And here, I thought you weren't a cocky kind of guy," Came the dry teasing right back. Still, there's a look of intrigue in his eyes, a deep curiosity starting to gnaw at his stomach and the back of his mind.

He finds himself wanting more of that young man's touch. Wanting to reach out, to grab him, kiss him, pin him to the floor or pull him into his lap. And he knows he shouldn't be asking this, not to a new student. And yet, the lad does appear to be genuinely interested... "I'm getting the feeling, though, that we both want to learn a lot more about each other than just improving each other's fighting skills. Am I warm?"

If warm meant Tim's face was getting hot and his dick was hardening, then yeah. Cor is very, very warm. And Tim can't help but laugh, uncomfortably interested in the older man. "I'm... Cor blinks at that compliment for a moment, but otherwise finds himself smiling as Tim puts his hand on the older man's neck. He took stock of that growing blush, too. "I figured as much. I normally don't have to talk to a student about such things, either. You...are quite the exception."

Cor spares Tim a verbal answer, instead giving him a nod. But the nod's only a moment before his hand rises up to cup the younger man's cheek, guiding him close enough so that they can kiss. He tries to keep it gentle at first, but there's no stopping that wave of passion that swells up and invades the kiss, making his other hand rest on Tim's hip.

God, that's good. The guide of Cor's mouth against his, the hand at his hip, the passion that unfolds as they touch for the first time.
