[Minoriko frowns at this.]

That's my sister's work.

But nothing is better than the end result of a good harvest! The smells, the tastes. While the leaves are merely aesthetic, people require food to survive.

[..Oh..so this was the goddess that took care of the autumn foods. While Tohko knew others liked it..Tohko couldn't actually taste normal foods, so this hit a bit too close to home.]

The smell of sweet potatoes is rather nice..

It is! It's one of my favourite foods.

[Hurray for subject changes! Then there's the sound of a piece of paper sliding under the door, which Minoriko grabs and begins to read.]

It is pretty delicious..

[Oh, hello piece of paper. While Tohko won't look over Minoriko's shoulder yet, she is curious.]

What does it say?

[She just sort of pauses for a moment. Well, this was unexpected.]

It...seems we've been offered a way out.

[And Tohko just smiled at that, unaware.]

That's great! What's the way out?

They want us to kiss.

[..And that smile immediately fell. Have a blushing book girl, Minoriko.]

W-what?! How come?!

It does not say. Only that we must if we wish to leave.

I..see..

[Tohko sighed and scratched her head.]

Well..is that what you want to do?

Do we really have a choice? There doesn't appear to be any alternatives.

Just because there doesn't seem to be any alternatives doesn't mean that there aren't! Maybe we can dig ourselves out.

You're certainly welcome to try. I'm not going to waste the energy.

[Tohko looked around the closet..and sighed.]

..I would..but I don't have a shovel or anything like that.

[Another sigh.]

I guess..we'll have to do it.

It seems that way.

[Minoriko pauses briefly and sighs as well.]

Am I to take the initiative?

[And another blush..]

I..if you want..

I've...never really done this before, so bear with me.

[She slowly begins to lean forward. Minoriko hesitates for just a moment, but closes her eyes and presses her lips against Tohko's.]

[And Tohko would close her eyes as well, even though she was as red as a chili pepper.

She returned the kiss a little, and the moment she did so, the door busted open. Finally.]

[Upon hearing the door open, Minoriko pulls away from the kiss, and she's just about as red as Tohko.]

It actually worked.

It..does look like it did. I wonder why they wanted to see us kiss?

Some people are impossible to understand. It's best not to dwell on it, I think.

..Some people may be hard to understand, but I don't think they're impossible to fully understand.

[Minoriko shakes her head, quite in disagreement with that.]

You've clearly never met many of the inhabitants of Gensokyo.

[Tohko looked a bit puzzled at that.]

I haven't, considering I've never visited the place.
