Pretty much looking for anyone. Here, SWS, PSL, it's all good.

Specifically, I always pictured him as existing in some kind of world with superheroes, so fellow hero types would be awesome if they could intervene and make him less... serial killer-ish.

Also, romance. Or the blind, stumbling attempts at it. He's got a past that really warrants his fear of being touched, so any romance would be a slow boil and meaningful little moments. But I would ship it like FedEx, slash or het or anything not covered by those definitions.

And it's a long shot, but a therapist/psychologist character would be a Godsend for him and his issues. We could have a field day with that kind of thing.

...he's also a barista. Fellow coffee-makers are always bros. Even if female.

Would you be interested in a blindsighted, mildly telepathic, aura-reading guy with enhanced senses? He'd probably be able to curb Purnama's instincts a bit... though Iason is extremely tactile due to his blindness. x:

That would be amazing. And also several hundred shades of awkward. By which I mean, this is a great idea. Purnama just won't be Iason's number one fan due to the tactile thing; give it time and it'll be less jump scare inducing, but they might be touch and go for a bit before The Power Of Friendship sets in.

Also, kudos for playing a blind character. It's nice to see some diversity.

I was thinking it'd be awesomely awkward and would make for a great (read as horrible) beginning dynamic. Iason's really friendly, though, just... not so good with not touching. xD

Purnama is friendly enough, but I just envision him wanting to both thank Iason for treating him normally and wanting to slap his hands away. But it might honestly help Purnama get to be less phobic about that kind of thing.

So we're clear up front, will this be an epic friendship or an epic romance? Either's fine by me, but the latter may take a while.

Epic friendship leading into epic romance? I don't mind slow, awkward, tension-filled build ups. In fact those are better.

Ah, epic slowmance. I can do that. I can see it now: awkward, sweet, angsty, on a slow boil that eventually leads to friendship followed by eventual 'if it's you romance is okay' after trust is built at great length.

This is going to be awesome.

I will hit that momentarily! First, though: prose or action spam, and past or present tense? (I like to be in sync with the person I'm writing with. It's awkward if one person is using past tense and I'm trying to use present tense. xD)

I'm more prose-happy than anything else. I'm not a native English speaker so I was actually taught how to write in the present tense in English first, but I can and have done past tense over the last two years or so with increasingly less fail. Whichever one you want works. I try to be open.

But I have Coulson who's more of a superhero-herder. Aaand also Jean Grey from X-men to have some potentially interesting interactions? My full character list is here if you wanna browse it.

The glorious joy of Purnama's life is that even he's not sure what country he's from. He only guesses it's Indonesia based off of clues, but it could easily have been somewhere else. Human trafficking is a weirdly specific-and-vague backstory at the same time. But I wanted to go for realism if I was going with that backstory and that meant going with a different race/ethnicity than I normally would. (The PB, Gharrett Paon, is himself actually half Indonesian, halfFrench.)

You play Coulson and Jean Grey. That is already a beautiful combination. I think Coulson would be *amazing* with Purnama, but that may be because Coulson is just amazing. I've never played with an X-Men muse, though, so that might be awesome, too, especially since it's my headcanon Purnama is a mutant whose powers were trauma-activated.

Sadly, I only recognize (read: even vaguely know) one character on that list aside from those two, so. Forgive me, I'm a bit out of the loop, it seems.

And don't worry about the other characters. Some are from obscure canons to begin with.

I'm worried about the line between playing this correctly and wangsting about his backstory, but I'm hoping I'll be able to balance that out.

Both would be amazing - if you're busy, though, just one is fine. The world does not revolve around me and my one current muse.

Ah, that might explain it. I thought it was just that I'm oblivious to anime.

But backstory angst can also be fun. I'll be happy to help you out with it and playing both of them at you shouldn't be too difficult at all. Though I would prefer to start with just the one for the first thread.

Oh, I want to play it. I just don't want it to reach that level where it's laughable rather than serious. It's not sunshine and rainbows but unless Coulson and SHIELD know it and mention Purnama shouldn't just volunteer his lifestory. (I have bad memories of RPing about two years ago. So much bad melodrama. So. Much.)

I vote Coulson! Where would you like to do this?
