Have you been looking for new places to stretch your RP legs? Are you new to Dreamwidth and haven't got a clue of where to even start to find comms you might like to try out? Or maybe you are an old veteran and just always looking for new things to try out or just a little worn out of your usual stamping grounds? You might even just have a certain taste in the types of communities you play in but aren't sure how to find anything fresh.

This meme is for us players to pimp and promote the comms we enjoy playing or writing in. You might want to promo your favourite games or dressing rooms, or maybe you're a mod and want to give a bit of a plug to your own communities to spark a little more interest. This is the place to do it.

RULES:

Note, this is for giving your comms a bit of a plug and offering recommendations, it isn't an advert meme, so no game ads and no large graphics. Please just post the name of the communities, what their purpose is (game, dressing room, meme comm, muse prompting, etc) and maybe include a small blurb of why you like it or a link to a premise. If you are promoting a game, feel free to add characters or canons you might be specifically after.

mylittlejamjar- Even if you're only vaguely familiar with My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, just the idea that your character turns into a pony when sucked into this world is entertaining in its own right.

Absolutely more of this gorgeous face. The world cannot have too much f!Hawke. Besides, I also have a Varric who needs someone to write stories about. ;)

dear_mun: It's a comm. set up under the premise that your character is leaving a note for you, the mun. Maybe they've got an opinion about the username you selected for them, or that game you're thinking about sending them to. This is where they let you know. Great for voice-testing.

thegames: It's a Hunger Games based game. Characters from all over have been pulled to the Capitol to compete in the games, and not just Hunger Games characters. We've got characters from Resident Evil, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Marvel, Disney, etc. Slow-to-medium paced and very friendly.

thestation: The Station is a small, tight knit game with a lot of great people. One of our players suggested we come over here. I'm alway on Bakerstreet - can't believe they saw it before me! In the middle of the Dead Space, surrounded by rivers of Time, sits the Station. The flow of a million worlds passes by, bringing people who were never meant to be together, from different universes and times.

We have events that bring in everyone as much as possible, always with the option to opt out. We just are wrapping up a great horror event from Dead Space and we will go into a player event. As a mod, I love playing as much as the players and we're in there with the mod chars or our normal ones, everyone going nuts and trying to survive and get along. We'd love for some more people join us, I think we have about 12-15 off the top of my head. If you have any questions or want to know more, read our FAQ or ask me questions!

bigapplesauce: A game set in modern day Manhattan. Player characters are brought in via a rift in time and space and confined to the island by the machinations of Romac, a secret government agency set up to deal with the influx of otherworldly beings. Players can choose whether to have their characters cooperate with Romac, join the underground rebellion...or just stay out of it as best they can.

Also there's a shared dreamspace,

applesaucedream, where characters can come together in their dreams and where we have very silly dream parties.

PS we sometimes have dream parties that are open to visiting characters too, and we'll probably have one this week.

Also characters can get superpowers or whatever from the rift when they enter. My Ten manifests kittens when he gets emotional.

ironandsalt is a Supernatural dressing room. Any and all supernatural characters are welcome, from canon characters to AU canon characters to fandom OCs. All we ask is that they are a character from the Supernatural universe. I try to throw a meme up at least once a month and closed posts are always allowed!
