Marik sighs and places a hand on Bakura's shoulder, pulling him into a half hug.]

Bakura startles a bit at the sudden touch, but he relaxes easily enough once he knows what the other is trying to do. Marik's stubborn attempts to get him used to being touched are showing results.

The albino still tries to nail him with a scowl that's more of a pout, since it's hard to be scary when you're having a face and body like Ryou's and he's being distracted by his mind going miles an hour.]

No. If it's me somehow affecting the body of my vessel, then it's definitely too important to be ignored. [crossing his arms in front of his chest, he starts thinking out loud] Ryou has brown eyes. The red can be blames on the light, or me being a piece of Zorc or maybe even just general 'evi spirit' bullshit, but gold? It'd make way more sense if they swayed into my old eye-color.

[Looking back up to meet Marik's eyes, he drops his hands as he tries to explain.]

Gold isn't a color that's associated with dark spirits or magic at all. It's more one of the colors of the gods.

[Point in case: Marik, Tomb Keeper, a ton of shades of gold on his body. Bakura, Tomb Robber, coming in shades of black, bloody reds and sickly dark magics purples or corpse pales. Day colors on one side, night colors on the other.]

He reaches up with both hands and cups the other's cheeks, gazing back at him with a serious expression.]

Bakura. It's just the light. Like how my skin can look more golden or more grey. You hold your head at certain angles depending on your mood, which then affects the lighting on your eyes. That's all. I simply thought... telling you of the different shades might make you feel flattered because...

Your skin never looked grey. [Brown, bronze, dusty, honey, olive, golden,... there were many shades, but Ishtar would need to be seriously sick to qualify for grey skin.] Besides, I'm always just pissed. Angry vengeful spirit, remember?

[Marik can't help but smile a little though. He rubs a thumb over where Bakura's larger cheek scar would be if this were his previous form, studying his face for a moment or two.]
