Building up new CR can be hard, especially if you're unsure who's interested, or if you're just a little bit shy. Behold a meme designed specifically to get around that.

THE TAG (THREE) NEW PEOPLE MEME

Step One - Post your character, include a prompt if you want, and note your preferences for the random generator part of the meme. Note this meme is designed for any new CR, so while limiting certain aspects of the meme (no to certain prompts, only certain types for sex/shipping, etc) there should be no "canons/ocs/girls/boys only"!

Step Two - Go back three tags above you. If you've never tagged the character you land on, and they have no existing tags on their thread, roll up a prompt and tag them with it. Continue and do this two more times. If you hit the end of the meme, loop back around. If you get caught in an infinite loop, either wait for a new tag-in, or go by every other comment instead.

Step Three - If you can't find someone who hasn't been tagged and you haven't played with, it's fine to tag someone who has been. If you can and you still want to tag a tagged person, go ahead, just don't count it to your three.

Step Four - If you want to, you don't have to stop at just three. Keep looping (or come back later when others have tagged in) as often as you like!

⑱ Big damn hero → You know you have to handle this one alone, so that means disarming or knocking unconscious the person who wants to join you.
⑲ Fight club → You know the rules... you're in an underground fighting ring and you're fighting with all you've got.
⑳ Threaten → You've just been sent here to rough them up a little, threaten them into behaving.

ANGST.
① Injury / illness → Your character has become injured or ill! To what extent is the mun's choice.
② Last moments → You character has been gravely injured and this is their last chance to say their last words.
③ Depression → Your character is depressed, what actions they take is up to the mun.
④ Betrayed → You character has been betrayed by the other. How do they react?
⑤ Tortured → Your character is being tortured and needs rescuing or at least a sympathetic ear to help him through it.
⑥ Jealousy → Your character is feeling jealous and must deal with it, how will they do it?
⑦ Breakup! → This relationship has gone as far as it can, it's time to breakup.
⑧ Broken → For whatever reason, the character is broken, mentally or or physically.

⑩ Lost → You lost the biggest fight of your life and now all you can do is try to pick up the pieces.
⑪ Worst nightmare → Whatever you fear the most is now real or maybe you're just trapped in a dream together, but whatever it is, it feels too real.
⑫ Addicted → You're addicted to something, alcohol, drugs, sex, whatever. It's destroying your life and you can't do anything to stop it.
⑬ Hurt you → You're being forced to hurt someone you love either by betraying them or even being forced to shout things you don't mean. It's for their own good in the end though.
⑭ Separation → You were forced to leave this person for their own safety and while you've been miserable without them, you really didn't mean to run into them again... maybe it was by accident or you were watching them from afar this whole time.
⑮ Becoming a monster → You are slowly changing, becoming a monster: vampire, zombie, demon, something you can't recover from and no-one can help you.
⑯ Frozen → You are entirely helpless, frozen, to stop some kind of disaster.

((Three, huh? In the theme of three, here's three random starters/prompts for you if you want! And since they're all so different in tone... here, have default icon.))

A.

Mr. Deeds is the ideal butler. He cooks, he cleans, he does laundry, he'll fetch you almost anything you want -- and all with a smile on his face, as he literally lives to serve. Though there are also the skills you might not expect a butler to have -- massage, assassination... playing the guitar? Yes, Mr. Deeds has found a guitar, and after removing and neatly folding his suit jacket so his arms have more freedom to move, is seated on a couch, playing it. Granted, the notes he's strumming aren't too complex -- in fact, they sound more like they're merely the rhythm meant to accompany the mariachi-sounding tune he's humming to himself. Eyes closed, he's off in his own little world, clearly playing for himself rather than trying to show off.

B. (CW: Vomiting, implied drunkenness)

The bar/club/etc is really hopping, though Mr. Deeds would rather be a wallflower, simply standing by his master or mistress' side. He raises an eyebrow at the thumping noise that apparently passes for music these days, but says nothing, his calm, polite, professional demeanor unflappable. He only jolts when a hand grabs onto his shoulder, the owner of said hand pushing their weight onto him, using him as support. He's about to open his mouth -- to say what, who knows -- when they lean into him, vomiting all over his chest. For a second, he only stares in stunned silence, before his hands rise on their own, gently resting on the shoulders of the one who threw up on him.

"There, there. Let's get you to the lavatory." He pulls them against his side, wrapping his arm around their shoulders for support. His nice suit is now, of course, ruined by the chunky orange-yellow-brown goop staining its front, but he doesn't even seem angry -- the only expression on his face is that of concern, for the poor soul he's now guiding to the bathroom.

((Your character could be the person who threw up on him, or some bystander, and either be his master/mistress or not.))

C.

Mr. Deeds watches helplessly as the argument in front of him continues, holding up a finger to try and get a word in, to try and deescalate things, but there's no empty space long enough for him to speak, unless he wants to raise his voice and possibly make things even worse. Time seems to slow down, however, as the larger of the two, the aggressor, raises their fist, drawing it back with clear intent to harm the smaller, more timid one. Now that's something he can't just ignore; with sudden speed, he rushes between the two, pushing the would-be victim back. He ends up taking a fist to the gut for his troubles, but makes no move to defend or even protect himself, only wincing with a light grunt at the pain.

"I -- I'm -- " He coughs, taking in a few deep breaths to allow his voice to regain its strength, and starts again. "I'm sorry, but I must protest! I understand that you are frustrated, but if you must express that frustration through violence -- I simply ask that you direct it toward me."

It is anybody's guess what this very proper gentleman is doing in the middle of Appalachia, within a stone's throw of Blackwater Station. In point of fact, the argument that's unfolded is partly in regards to the uncanny appearance. Outsiders are not always welcome in this insular, small-town landscape, and the larger, more aggressive man is clearly suspicious of Mr. Deeds.

The smaller of the two, a kid who can't be much more than nineteen or twenty, has kept his voice down this whole time, so whether the stranger has been privy to his side of the conversation or not is a toss-up. It's interesting, though, that he didn't flinch when threatened, and seems more startled by the butler's intervention than by the rest of the conflict.

"...aw, hell. Now, that ain't necessary at all." He moves to stand next to Deeds with a slow, stiff half-limp, thanks to the braces on his legs, and puts his hands on his hips to stare at the man who threw the punch. "Mr. Wendle, I done told you, this is the Bondurant's land so it's their business, and I reckon they won't appreciate you startin' a fight over nothing. You don't want me callin' Howard out here to talk this out; he ain't in the mood today and you know what he's like when he ain't in the mood."

Faced with two forms of weirdly fragile yet immovable resistance, Wendle seems to hesitate. He's definitely drunk, which hasn't helped the situation, and the more he eyes Deeds, the less sure he is that he's not hallucinating.

"Go on an' git," the kid suggests mildly. "I'll tell 'em you wanted a word with 'em. You can come by tonight when the station's open."

Deflated, Wendle starts to skulk away, and the kid looks back at Deeds with a highly skeptical expression. "I mean, he ain't wrong, though. You sure as hell ain't from around here."

[People always speculated whether humans were alone in the universe. Amos? Well, it didn't really matter to him one way or another. Either there weren't aliens, in which case nothing about his life would change, or there were. And once that was sussed out then he'd sort his own life out once the churn calmed down enough to see if he sank to the bottom or rose to the top.

'cept they did exist, and the churn was still roiling. And someone like Amos could only run and hide for so long before he got tired of it. His own people were gone. Dead or fucked off to some place Amos couldn't reach. And while it hurt to lose 'em more than he was ever willing to admit, he needed to keep moving.

So he found new people, a new crew. If these aliens were gonna ruin his life, well he could ruin theirs right back, too, and maybe make his old family proud in the process.

They were out in the outer planets, near the moons of Saturn when sensors picked it up. A small wing of incoming aliens, up to something no good if the numbers were anything to go by. The warning was given out, and Amos was at his station quicker than a flash.]

[He's not even the head gardener, just an assistant on the palace grounds, but what he does, he does reasonably well. Cricket is the only name he has, and it seems as though most of the other palace denizens, nobility and staff alike, think he's a little slow. He's certainly quiet, and he walks with a limp, thanks to some sort of deformity in his legs, but his work with plants and animals is almost uncanny in how well it's done, as if he's some sort of changeling that's stepped out of the woods to tend the half-domesticated roses and songbirds in their exile.

He is completely indifferent to politics. For all he cares, the prince could have married an actual full-time swan with no human form to her name. Why would it matter to him? He wasn't going to marry royalty, himself. Let the rich do the peculiar things they're going to do; they can't be stopped, anyway.

Every now and again, though, he glances askance at the queen, as if there's something about her that draws his eye. Something unsettling.]

How he got to the shores of this island is a mystery. It almost had to involve some kind of magic. Cricket never saw the ocean until now, and it's pretty obvious he came a long way to get here. He's a weirdly pale creature compared to the people of the island, with sandy blonde hair and skin that goes far too easily from ivory to red in the sun. He also has a hell of a time getting anywhere in the sand; his legs aren't quite right, not quite strong enough to walk on unstable ground at any decent speed.

Offered the opportunity to work for a living, though, he was quick to volunteer to help raise animals. He's very comfortable with chickens, and pigs...well, he has a lot of stories about how they bite, but he clearly knows how to care for them, and he's grateful that the kind they raise here aren't as big or aggressive as the ones where he grew up.

It's dusk, and he's resting by a coop now, petting a hen that seems to have decided to roost in his lap until forcibly ousted. He has a shy smile for Moana whenever she passes by, but he's half afraid to speak with her. This is, after all, a princess, and he's incredibly impressed. Even more so, after hearing what she's capable of, and the adventures she's undertaken.
