"Mm, I think so. Could be also for being stuck in the usual forward progression of time. You're in that era far as your timeline is concerned."

[coldsong]

"I suppose. Not in Midgard, though. Aesir don't have social media on the same level."

[favoriteanalyst]

"Bitter regret and a weird kinda fondness for a place your brother loves and you have complicated feelings on. Come for the coffee dates, stay for the weird memes."

[coldsong]

"Why is it everyone thinks Midgard is Thor's purview alone? I loved it once, too. Things...changed, obviously, but it wasn't my idea for them to change this way. Humans were never half so fond of me as I was of them, maybe. But the planet is no more Thor's than it is mine, or Frigga's, or Odin's, or any other Aesir that used to be worshiped here."

"You're right. I'm sorry. You've got some claim and fondness, too. Your brother's just the one who seems to think of Earth as his turf that he's willing to protect. Avenger and all."

[coldsong]

"No, no...it's all right. You're not the primary guilty party and you're not the one I'm actually irritated with. Just...most of the rest of humanity, I suppose."

"So you're not wrong, it is complicated."

"Midgard is for humans. It's their cradle and grave, at least until they transcend the latter. Thor was supposed to be Allfather and protect all the Nine Realms. He got his priorities out of order. I can't really blame him. He was raised for glory, not practicality."

"You opened up the modern human public's eye to the existence of aliens, anyway. Just didn't exactly endear them to start worshiping any of you guys again. You changed everything for the course of humanity at that point."

[coldsong]

"I'd protest that Odin actually did that by exiling Thor to Midgard, but I suppose what I did was far, far more public. First time I've done anything louder than Thor did. It wasn't meant to be a warning to humanity, but maybe it's for the best it had that effect."

[favoriteanalyst]

"I didn't mean for this to become a conversation about Thor or your family. We can avoid that era if you want. Go visit Florence in the 80's for a coffee date instead?"

[coldsong]

"You may have noticed I have a slight obsession with my brother and outdoing him in as many areas as I can. But I know you like me better, even if no one else does."

"You had me at coffee, darling. Actually, you had me at you, but I'd rather pretend you're just that good at bribing me with food."

"You know what, now we're gonna pick up to go, go back to your place, and have a lovely night in."

[coldsong]

"Hmm, that sounds even better. We haven't gotten any use out of those collars yet, have we?"

"And it'd be a shame to let them go to waste looking pretty anywhere but on us."
