[There are some things that even Wolverine's healing factor can't overcome, and Eros' arrow is near the top of that list. One minute he was fighting off some monsters thanks to getting dragged into such by Blade and Strange, and the next the fighting had ended and he was looking at their new companion with new eyes.]

[He pulled out a cigar, hoping it might help clear his head. Why was he feeling this way? He lit the cigar and tried to focus on nothing else. Damn it. He looked back at the stranger, and his desire for the other only seemed to grow.]

[Eros scratched his cheek feeling somewhat awkward. It took just a look for him to realize just what he had done. A stray arrow wasn't ideal. But one intended to make someone fall in love? At least it wasn't a permanent one. He quickly puts back his bow and gives the guy a smile. Sure, it could have been worse. Logan was a good looking fellow after all. It could be an enjoyable experience.]

Thank you, I had a good teacher. [Probably the best... as he was trained by his father Ares, the god of war.] You aren't half bad yourself.

Best there is at what I do. [He glances around at the remnants of the battlefield.] It ain't pretty, but they get the job done. [Referencing of course to his currently sheathed claws.

He knows this feeling. It isn't fading, it's only gnawing away more and more at him.]

Think I'm gonna grab a beer. [And he knows he shouldn't ask it. He tells himself not to ask it.] Feel like tagging along? [And he asks it anyway.]

The Greek mythology always held a place in Aqua's heart. It was her favorite subject in high school, and something she was still toying with as a minor or major in college. Her focus was meant to be on academics, wanting to become a researcher. She was good at compiling data, studying, and acing tests. She was the person people wanted most in their study group or partner for a project, but what eluded her (aside from picking what her major) was having more of a social life.

Yes, she had friends. Yes, she went out to hang out with them, but it was far and few between. Her head was buried in her books, wanting to maintain her scholarship. She was gently ribbed about missing 'the best years of her life,' by focusing on her studies rather than meeting new people, going to parties, and dating. Which in hindsight, she didn't think wasn't too big of a deal. Dating...could happen later, right?

One day, she was ultimately dragged to Frat row to a 'Greek' party. People dancing to loud music, dressed in togas. Aqua didn't opt to wear a toga only her normal clothes, but she wore a gold colored laurel in her blue hair--the best she could do at the last minute.

Red Solo cups for drinking or beer pong littered the Frat house, and outside there were people dancing at the edge of the pool. Because drinking and swimming go well together... She thought, as she took another sip of her beer. It wasn't bad...could be worse.

Suddenly she felt something hit her, prompting her to turn around. It felt like a hacky sack, but heavier. It didn't feel like anything was sticking to her, so then what was it?! Annoyed, she looked around and her eyes landed on a stranger (or was he familiar?) who...suddenly had her attention.

It always amused him to sit in on college/University classes teaching Greek Mythology, smirking at the inaccuracies that each generation came up with for his very large and very confusing family. Not this year it seems as his attention was drawn to a beautiful blue haired student.

He tried to approach her in between working and keeping his cover as a fellow student but she didn't frequent any parties on campus and whenever he did spot her, she was always with a group of friends.

He was quickly getting frustrated but then it seems like the Fates finally smiled on him as he attended a Greek themed Frat party, ironically dressed as Cupid, and spotted her. Not thinking clearly he drew his actual bow and after making sure he would be the one she sees, he loosed an arrow.

Once he had done the deed, he walked over to introduce himself. "Hi, you're Aqua right? I'm Val, we've got Greek Mythology together."

Aqua's blue eyes were drawn to a taller man who was, funny enough, dressed as cupid. She was briefly taken aback by him, feeling like she had met him before couldn't place when or where. There was a nagging feeling to get to know more about him, but she pushed the thought away. Someone had hit her with something--a beer pong, maybe?--and she wanted to properly direct her anger at them.

But, he's cute. It was probably an accident. Her mind whispered to her.

And damnit, he was talking to her. She blinked once then twice, before his words actually registered in her head. Right...he was in her Greek Mythology class. That's why he looked familiar. Shit, she should say something.

"Yeah, Aqua..." She began, suddenly feeling out of place. Costume themed party and she only had the gold laurel wreath in her hair. She let out a nervous chuckle, tucking a lock of blue hair behind a pierced ear.

"That's right, we do. You usually sit in the back?" Whereas she typically sat in the middle or front. Easier to hear the professor, and to take down notes with little distraction.

"But, um, nice costume. It's good to see something other than a toga here." Ahh, was that too stupid to say? Damnit, why was she nervous.

Zeus be damned, she was so cute when she was flustered as she tucked that lock of hair behind her ear.

"Yeah I do, it's easier for me to see the board from back there." He replied bashfully rubbing the back of his neck as he actually just stares at her.

"Thanks, togas at these things are so overrated. Loving your laurels, by the way." He complimented back with a smile.

Val staring at her doesn't truly register in her mind. She was used to looks before, considering how vibrant her blue hair was. It was one of the few things she spoiled herself with. It made her...unique, and it fit with her name. Besides, she loved the vibrancy of it, not so much the attention, but the trade off was fair.

Another chuckle left her, this one without a hint of nervousness. Her eyes glanced around them to see the sea of togas and Frat guys chugging down beer. She briefly glanced down at her mediocre beer in her cup then back up at him.

"Yeah, they totally are, but bedsheets are easily accessible," she joked, considering college students were typically broke. The compliment to her hair cause a faint bit of pink to appear on her cheeks.

"Thanks. It was something I had nearby--my friend basically kidnapped me to come here. Not like the sort of kidnapping Hades did with Persephone--one legend anyway, I prefer the other where she roamed into his domain of her own free will... " Get to the point, Aqua!

"Sorry, wrong tangent. But, I got kidnapped to come to this party at the last minute and grabbed what I could to fit in." Good God, she probably sounded like a complete idiot, blathering on about Greek mythology when they weren't in class.

"But, you put thought into your costume. Cupid?"

It was just the vibrant colour of her hair that had him staring, it was everything about her and now she's randomly spouting alternative myths about his Great Aunt and Uncle's relationship.

"No need to apologise, it's nice to know that I'm not the only doing extra research in their spare time, it's good to see both sides." Val reassured her.

"My parents named me Valentin after St. Valentine so it kinda made sense." Said as he did a little spin to show off his fake wings. "Though Cupid's from Roman Mythology but it's easier to say or remember than Eros, I guess."

Aqua was going to blame the beer for making her randomly talk about mythology. Alcohol tended to make one lose their inhibitions. The phrase, loose lips sink ships came to mind, but she needed to focus on the present.

Thankfully Val didn't find fault with her tangent. He reassured her it was okay, and that helped to curb her embarrassment. Still...there was something about him that made Aqua want to stay in his presence longer. It made her want to learn more about him and...he gave her a good feeling overall.

A smile crept over her lips seeing the fake wings on his back. He really went full out for his costume? Which was fine, since it truly did fit his name.

"Ahh, yes. Eros. I was going to say cherub, but the most famous one is Eros...Cupid.." And there she was, going off on a tangent again. She took a sip of beer, trying to calm herself down. Be yourself. It's not that hard to talk about something other than myths.

"My parents were into Latin names and elements. My older brother is Terra, and younger brother is Ventus or Ven for short." So, water, earth and air...great parenting there.

"Are you enjoying the party though? I can't say if this..." She gestured to the people making out, dancing, and playing beer pong. "Is normal, or a sign it's a fun party."

"Cherub is Eros and Psyche's son, though not a lot of people remember that." Val pointed out with a shrug.

"Those are pretty unique names, though I bet just like me they wish they were called something a little more normal." Even though he actually chose the love themed name himself.

"I am now that I'm talking to the best looking person here." He said cheesily before looking out at the party still going on around them. "Unfortunately, this is a common Frat party but they can be wilder."

"Ahh, of course." How could she forget that important point? But, did that really matter since she was talking to Val? He was tall, handsome, and very interesting.

There was a shrug from Aqua. "Honestly? I can't say. I know Terra, he's probably fine with his name, and Ven? Maybe. I'm..." Another shrug.

"I've learned to embrace it." She pointed to her hair, letting out a soft chuckle.

A faint blush colored her cheeks at the compliment, making her momentarily look away. Why in the world were they only talking now? They could've talked a while ago during class, and yet she had her head in books to notice what was going on around her.

"Ahh, I think I could say the same." Because, it was the truth. The party wasn't as interesting until she was hit by something, prompting her to actually look over at Val.

Her nose wrinkled hearing the party could be wilder, the night was still young. Did she stay talking to Val or try to leave? Gazing at Val...no, she was willing to stay. No one had done anything untoward, minus throwing something at her.

"Never been to a Frat party before. First one." Ahh, was that a cringy thing to say? Damn.

"Not sure what I was supposed to expect, but...I can say I'm having more fun than I originally thought."
