Also reluctant Avenger as endorsed by Thor and/or pops by every once in a while and does the whole 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' thing when things attack so Tony has maybe not warmed up to him but lukewarmed up to him lol maybe they had the proverbial nightshift tonight in NYC while the other Avengers are on some mission so they had to handle some nonsense together and now Denny's because Tony needs after mission coffee and garbage as is tradition)

I suppose there's one way to find out. [As if Tony hasn't been through enough tonight, Loki orders one of literally every pancake related item on the menu when the waitress returns.

Good thing they aren't at IHOP.]

[He should put a stop to it. He could tell the waitress to just ignore this idiot and bring a normal size pancake platter over here. Instead Loki gets a tired stare throughout the entire order. And then when asked what he wants he simply says,]

Just more coffee, please. [And when she's gone, he points at Loki as if to make a point.] You're gonna eat every single thing that comes out of that kitchen. [Sometimes... sometimes Tony feels like a babysitter. More often than he should.]

[Loki looks entirely too smug for the situation at hand.]

I fully intend to. Why else would I order it all? [While his appetite is nothing compared to Thor's, the trickster can still put away a shocking amount of food.]

You should probably order actual food as well after that battle. I'll not be having you steal from my plates.

To be annoying? [Even though he says this, there's no bite in the remark. Not like there otherwise might have been when they'd first met. His tiredness plays into it a little but not entirely.

[Loki inclines his head. That is something he'd do, but he'd spent enough magic in that fight to work up an appetite.]

I mean, I could make them think I paid them.

Hasn't everyone been through enough tonight? [He takes a long sip of his coffee and then sets it back down.] I'm paying. But that makes me entitled to anything on your plate. [It's an empty threat anyway, he's not really hungry.]

I suppose we should count ourselves lucky there was anywhere open at all this late.

I've got it covered. [It's okay. Tony's used to people poking him to get a reaction- and he would know, too, because he also does that. A lot. He's a brat. He and Loki might find they have that in common when Tony doesn't have to be the ringleader and they settle around each other.]

You can always count on Denny's for mediocre food, bland coffee, and ridiculous hours. One of earth's finest establishments. Great place to go when you want to be left alone and nurse a hangover.

Truly a victor's feast. [It's a little sarcastic, but he does get it. Sometimes you eat what's there even if it isn't the best.]
