I am Groot? [A little treeling is looking up at Jack after poking his foot. He could vault to the table but after landing in someone's coffee, maybe he should ask.

He smells food! Lots of food.]

Aren't you adorable! [Jack has no what Groot is but talking baby tree? He's going to lower his hand to help it up.] I'm Jack.

[Excuse you sir, he is mighty. He's not cute. But he's also happy for the lift, holding on to Jack's thumb until he gets to the table.

Wow. Look at all that food. Is he gonna eat all of it?] I am Groot?

I am Jack. [He tilts his head an inspects the little fella. There's plenty of food left. Jack had just managed to stuff his mouth with half of it. Now his tummy was hurting...] Are you lost? I haven't seen any tree people around.

[acorning]

[Groot isn't so sure about bacon, but those crunchy potatoes look good! He shoves a handful in his mouth, shaking his head at Jack's question.

Nope, he's exploring. You can't be lost if you're exploring.] I am Groot.

[Jack isn't about to stop Groot from eating. He's even glad to have some help with it.]

Just out exploring on your own then?

[Just wait until he finds that hot chocolate. Groot gives a nod and a happy smile because boy is it nice to find a human-type who understands him!

Not everyone can be that smart, after all.] I am Groot!

[Except Jack is just about 50% human. Which also means he can pick on unsaid things. He grabs a tiny cup that you'd usually have ketchup in and pours some soda in it. He then gives it to Groot in case he's thirsty aswell]

[Jack reads a lot like Quill, human with a little extra thrown in for good measure. So as far as Groot is concerned he's a better than average human type.

Oooh, what's this? He takes the offered cup and downs the entire contents in one go.

The resulting burp from the little tree rattles the glasses two tables over. He grins at Jack. That was awesome!] I am Groot!

That's impressive. [He has not expected the tiny creature to make that much noise!]

I am Groot! [Just wait until he's bigger! Groot shoves some more of Jack's food into his face while he inspects the rest of the table. He spies some discarded crayons on another table and uses his vines to grab them and bring them over.

Jack is offered a crayon as Groot flips over one of the paper placemats. They're great for drawing on. Draw with him new friend!]

[Oh yes! Jack would love to draw with his tiny new friend. He gladly takes the crayon and starts working on a house. He didn't comment on those vines. Seemed rather helpful. He could probably use telekinesis himself though.

He wonder where these sort of creatures was hiding out in the universe as he had never seen on before.]

[Groot tips his head curiously at what Jack is drawing. Huh. Must be an almost-human thing.

He takes an orange crayon and starts drawing his home, a bright orange and silver space ship. Groot grins up at his friend. This is awesome.] I am Groot.

[He looks over at what Groot is drawing.] That's your home?

I am Groot! [He nods for good measure. Boy it's nice when he finds the smart ones!
