So he turns on his heel right back around and practically throws himself into the other side of the booth like it's offended him.

[At this hour, it isn't surprising that several of the scattered figures about the space are slipping into his realm. Dream can see the heads nodding forward, jerking back upright with effort fueled by caffeine saturating identical mugs. A similar one sits in front of him, tendrils of steam wisping upwards and as black as his attire. His fingers curl around the china, though his interest isn't held by the liquid inside. Time spent among mortals is still done sparingly, though more often now than before memories of recent events he wishes not to ignite. Barring one sonorous dreamer's revelries, it is at least more quiet than last time he frequented a diner.]

[Three AM seems to be a normal hour to her, too bad nothing is ever open. She's got a long night of research ahead of her, and coffee is needed. Something better then the corner market quick stop, that is.]

[Constantine came in the front, leaned on the front counter to say something to the waiter, and gave a half smirk and salute to them as they told her to take any seat. Just as she started to the back, intending to take the back both like she did, she found herself coming to a halt for one step, head tilting, before she got an amused look, and moved slyly onward.]

It's just her and some guy around her age. And he...definitely looks like he's falling asleep. Chrissy grabs her things and slides into the booth across from him.]

You don't mind company, do you? I thought we could maybe work together.

Space Denny's? Space Denny's. Indigo looks a little roughed up, but not seriously harmed, having just brought in a big bounty. If you're part of the Peacekeepers (basically the Space Police), you might recognize her as one of their best bounty hunters. She has a burger, fries, and a rainbow-colored avesmingo milkshake in front of her; as she raises her burger to her "face", a bite-sized and -shaped chunk of the burger simply... disappears from the edge, accompanied by biting and chewing sounds. But it never actually touched her face????

Since timezones aren't really a thing in space, perhaps the place is crowded enough that the staff are asking smaller groups of guests (or rather, the loners) to share tables. Or just come gawk at the Weird Faceless Glowing Alien; Novakid are rather rare, she just might be the first you've seen.

There's nothing to suggest Achilles, Best of the Greeks is anything but a dude enjoying his Lumberjack Slam®. In fact, his tan and long hair, combined with his clothes—jeans, sandals, a loose tank—scream "SoCal surfer", not "ancient demigod warrior."

As he sips his coffee and glances around, he can't help but feel like there's something comfortingly familiar ... almost Dionysian about the place. ]
