It's okay. It took me until my 20s before I had the courage to ask another woman out without fumbling over it.

[She chuckles but she'll do everything she can to put Steph at ease. Guin is always more nervous around girls than she is when flirting with guys. She pauses as she debates asking the next question, not wanting to push her luck.]

...Would it be okay if I kissed you? Looking at you, I just want to.

My last lesbian relationship was in college, so...

[Guin trails off. It seems the more they say, the more awkward they both end up being. So she leans her head up and presses her lips to Steph's in a soft, sweet kiss, allowing Steph to decide if she wants to deepen it or not.]

[She was a little shocked at the suddenness of the kiss but quickly relaxed into it and kissed the brunette back.]

[Guin didn't want to push for too much, still fairly tentative in her advances with other women, so she pulled back after a moment. Though she would happily repeat it if Steph asked.]

That was really nice. I, um...know a great little cafe down near Rock Center if you're still up to go grab something. My treat.

[She touched her tingling lips with a smile, she certainly liked the way kissing Guin felt.]

[There's a cafe across the street from the Rockefeller Center shops. At this time of day it's fairly quiet as Gwen leads Steph to one of their outdoor tables, before she ducks inside to get some hot chocolate and some fresh pastries. Coming back and laying the spread out with a small smile.]

I wasn't sure what you like, so I got a selection.

[She decides to sit on the same side of the table, keeping close in case more flirting develops between them. Or at least signaling that she's open to more flirting and maybe even a little touching.]

[Steph watched Guin's ass as she walked inside, she dared to take her cap off but hoped that she wouldn't be swarmed by fans and have their date ruined.

She looked back up with a smile when Guin came back with the selection she brought out with her.]

You're welcome. I stumbled on this place when I first came to town. If you catch it when it's not too busy, it's close enough to all of this people-watching but not so much that you get a ton of noise and traffic from the crowd.

[She was nursing her drink for a moment before she continued.]

I'm still getting used to being back on land. Spent years mostly on various ships doing recon and intelligence work and now I'm on the administrative side.

[She just smiled and nodded while sipping on her hot chocolate, not really understanding why people enjoyed watching what someone else did.]

I'm still getting used to... well, everything I guess. Somethings are new and confusing and others just seem too amazing to be true.

It sounds like that's overwhelming, yeah. Well, I'm here if there's anything I can do to make it easier.

[She offers an encouraging smile, the flirting set aside for a moment to worry about Steph's comfort. Guin has developed kind of a mothering side. She does tease to try and make her laugh.]

I would say my door is always open to you, but since I got my own place I've been walking around naked, so that would be really awkward if you walked in.
