Xiao Xingchen had been captured, frankly. The Wens hadn't taken kindly to his acts against their evil. For some reason though, they chose not to kill him.

In a way, what they decided to do with him is worse.

They sealed his golden core and tucked him away in a brothel, a place he'd never have stepped foot in on his own. There, he'd been taught just what to do, though he was never penetrated by more than fingers or toys - that joy was for his first client.

He's been given the promise that with good behavior (and a lot of work) he can win his freedom back. So while he's not allowed out, even with company, in the rooms he's been given he is mostly left alone.

He's been told some of the clientele prefer to unwrap their gifts for the night. So he's wrapped himself up for the first night he's on offer. Pure white robes (which aches and gnaws at his heart), a red ribbon in his hair (a hint at romance, ha!) and a white blindfold as he sits demurely on his bed.

He tries not to worry at his lips while he waits, tries to meditate for calm.

But he can hear steps approach, and the doors open. He can practically hear the false smile on his current master's lips as the man bows with a swish of cloth.

"Please enjoy him, Lord! He is untouched."

Which serves to make his cheeks flame in shame as he bows his head. But at least the man leaves after letting his first client in.
