Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.
A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!

Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.

It was an accident involving both tech and magic that had Goldlewis Dickinson catapulted from his own world to another Earth entirely. While many things remained the same there were quite a few differences too. The Gears didn't seem to exist at all, instead there were situations like the Raccoon City incident.

While intelligence work wasn't his direct field he got all the information he needed. He didn't trust this version of the U.S government to be a place he could really get into to be any real help, much more desk-jockeys and none of the candidates were like Vernon where he could trust their intentions to be so pure. So he joined the BSAA, he rose the ranks pretty damn quick with the fact he was built like a tank, was disciplined and of course his secret weapon. Eventually he got partnered with Jill who he did debrief on his history when he knew he could trust her with it. There wasn't much she could do about getting him home as he expected, but the fact this man didn't exist by all resources along with what he was capable of did lend credence to his story.

Their recent mission had brought them to a remote mountain. It was snow-covered and the weather only seemed to get worse as they trudged their way further up. Surveillance had picked up on a vacant building they could use as a base so it was just a matter of getting there. Thankfully there was no resistance as he opened the door.

It was a two-room homely place. Looked like whoever lived there just up and left one day and never came back. The important part was it was dry, had a fireplace and wood that could be passably used.

"We're clear," he called out to Jill as he got the fire started. Once that was done he took a seat and started digging into his supplies. An emergency blanket, quite a large one since it had to support his frame. He put it over one shoulder and offered the other side to Jill without any comment. He hadn't really pegged whether they were strictly business or not in their time together, they were equals though he knew that much.

He did make a comment on their situation "Wish these wackos would at least do us the decency of doin' their dirty work in a temperate location. Seems like lately it's all humid jungles and cold mountains with `em. Can't give us a nice sunny hill to scout out." Of course he was just joking to lighten the mood as the trek had been a bit miserable, but for now they had a moment to breathe. They'd set out tomorrow for where the likely location of the facility.

[Space is unsurprisingly cold and the transport you're on wasn't necessarily built with living, breathing beings in mind. It's hardly a step above a cargo freighter for all the comforts on offer, the only distinguishing feature the solid metal bench bolted into the wall. This one in particular isn't even manned, just funnels its way from one predestination to the next, heedless of the needs of its few passengers.

But Obi-Wan is used to it. What's a few more hours (or days, he isn't keeping track) of discomfort? Not when there's an opportunity to alleviate one person's suffering, anyway.

He slips out of his heavy outer robe, folds it into a neat parcel and sets it wordlessly beside you, yours for the taking. He hopes it helps.]

It was far from Jir's first trip on a ship like this, and it definitely wouldn't be her last, not with the way things were going. Usually she just considered the discomfort that went with it penance of a sort, not that the other occasional passengers knew it, not that most of them would care one way or the other.

The same way no one could know the value of the small shipping carton tucked under the bench, one that she was keeping in place with one foot, keeping it out of the way.

She was surprised by the robe, but murmured a quiet: "Thanks." Before shaking it out to drape over her shoulders, fingers curling in the fabric to keep it close, "You can have it back when I can feel my fingers again."
