TYPES OF SCENES
① Action → Gun fights, bar brawls, fights to the death are all possible scenarios.
② Angst → Characters suffer emotionally or physically from relationships breaking up, death, injury, etc. Hurt and comfort themes are included.
③ Crack → Genderswaps, super powers, sudden compulsions are all possible outcomes.
④ Fluff → Something that is devoid of angst. It's light-hearted and might have the overtone of romance.
⑤ Gen → General fun, things that didn't fit in the other categories.
⑥ Sex → First times, kinks, even dubcon are all possible themes of sex related scenarios.
⑦ Your choice → Think of your own scenario, choose one of the above or make a combo even!

ACTION.
① Zombies → It's the zombie apocalypse, lock and load!
② Bar brawl → You had one too many drinks, said something wrong, and now you're being asked to take it outside.
③ Chase → You're caught in a high speed chase.
④ Gun fight → You're caught in a big shoot-out.
⑤ Fight with a friend → You're fighting with a friend, all out.
⑥ Interrogation → You're being interrogated for some offense you've done.

⑮ War → You're caught in the middle of a war here. Remember to keep your chin up and keeping fighting.
⑯ Apocalypse → The apocalypse finally happened and now you're left to scavenge and fight for whatever is left.
⑰ Sabotage → It's time to sabotage someone's plan! How is entirely up to you. Do you set up a bomb in their toilet? Do you double cross them at the last minute?
⑱ Big damn hero → You know you have to handle this one alone, so that means disarming or knocking unconscious the person who wants to join you.
⑲ Fight club → You know the rules... you're in an underground fighting ring and you're fighting with all you've got.
⑳ Threaten → You've just been sent here to rough them up a little, threaten them into behaving.

ANGST.
① Injury / illness → Your character has become injured or ill! To what extent is the mun's choice.
② Last moments → You character has been gravely injured and this is their last chance to say their last words.
③ Depression → Your character is depressed, what actions they take is up to the mun.
④ Betrayed → You character has been betrayed by the other. How do they react?
⑤ Tortured → Your character is being tortured and needs rescuing or at least a sympathetic ear to help him through it.
⑥ Jealousy → Your character is feeling jealous and must deal with it, how will they do it?
⑦ Breakup! → This relationship has gone as far as it can, it's time to breakup.
⑧ Broken → For whatever reason, the character is broken, mentally or or physically.
⑨ Fight → You can't even be in the same room as your friend or lover without arguing anymore.
⑩ Lost → You lost the biggest fight of your life and now all you can do is try to pick up the pieces.
⑪ Worst nightmare → Whatever you fear the most is now real or maybe you're just trapped in a dream together, but whatever it is, it feels too real.
⑫ Addicted → You're addicted to something, alcohol, drugs, sex, whatever. It's destroying your life and you can't do anything to stop it.
⑬ Hurt you → You're being forced to hurt someone you love either by betraying them or even being forced to shout things you don't mean. It's for their own good in the end though.
⑭ Separation → You were forced to leave this person for their own safety and while you've been miserable without them, you really didn't mean to run into them again... maybe it was by accident or you were watching them from afar this whole time.
⑮ Becoming a monster → You are slowly changing, becoming a monster: vampire, zombie, demon, something you can't recover from and no-one can help you.
⑯ Frozen → You are entirely helpless, frozen, to stop some kind of disaster.
⑰ Prison → You were very bad and now it's time to pay the price by turning yourself in or maybe the law just finally caught up to you.
⑱ Fear → You're not sure why, but you are suddenly terrified and you can't deal with it. You need help.
⑲ Hated → You are now hated by the person you loved the most.
⑳ Down and out → You're living on the streets, you've hit rock bottom, and you don't know what to do.

CRACK.
① Sexswap → Uh-oh, you're suddenly the opposite sex!
② Forced confessions → No matter what it is and no matter how hard you resist, you're going to be compelled to spill some deep dark secret!
③ Mind-reading → You've suddenly got the ability to read minds!
④ Animal → You're suddenly part animal or transformed into an animal!
⑤ Awkward pick-up lines → You're compelled to use bad pickup lines on whoever is closest!

If you wanted to go a more serious route, I was thinking more of recovering from a bad injury, zombies, or sabotaging a mako reactor. If you wanted something more lighthearted, could lean more into one of them being sick with something mild but maybe one of them is being a baby about it or doesn't want to stay in bed. lol Or! One enabling the other into doing something silly. Things of that nature. Thoughts? )

hmmmm, i am definitely a sucker for hurt/comfort so recovering from an injury would be excellent! i can't imagine either of them being particularly good patients - not wanting to stay in bed etc etc. zombies and mako reactor are ALSO super tempting tho, i might hit you up for those later! ]

[ i don't have a strong preference either way! aerith is a natural caregiver though and zack is a soldier, so it's easy enough to have him hurt, probably, but if you're feeling funky and want a role swap that's fine too! and take your time, no rush. c: ]

[ He really should have known it wouldn't have been that easy blowing up a reactor. Really should have known ShinRa security detail would have been tight. Hell, they'd all known, hadn't they? But he argues it's not like he knew just how advanced Scarlett's tech had gotten since. That woman is terrifying. That's for sure. A giant killer scorpion robot? For real?

Even a seasoned SOLDIER like him hadn't gotten off completely scot-free. He has a whole set of burns down his left side to show for it no to mention the one that had chipped off part of his left eyebrow. Pretty bad ones judging by the look on Jessie's face. He'd insisted he'd be fine. They'd insisted he needed to rest. The physician even went as far as to speak privately to the others. No doubt telling them to watch him like a hawk which may be why he ended up in Aerith's house. It's a ways from the bars and meetings making it hard for him to snoop and overhear their next plans.

Doesn't stop the groan as he stares at the ceiling before... sighing. And maybe very carefully trying to sit up and put his feet on the floor. Where were his boots again...? ]

[ maybe it's aerith's natural caretaking sense, maybe it's the squeaking of the very old floorboards beneath his feet - or maybe it's just that aerith had been preparing to come check on him - but whatever it is, he's caught in the act. the door creaks open, and aerith gasps out loud, very nearly dropping the tray she's carrying as she beholds him attempting to get out of bed.

she understands. truly, she does. few enough people enjoy being bedbound, especially after such a calamitous event as blowing a reactor, but he's injured, and rather badly, at that. now isn't the time to be pushing his limits!

her surprise shifts to annoyance, and aerith's expression tightens, her grip on the tray renewing as she arches a brow in his direction. she'd been so worried, so frightened when he turned up on her flowerbed looking half burned and half dead; he'd better not be plotting an escape, or there will be hell to pay. ]

[ Clearly, that had been the best way to make for a reunion, right? Another drop in on the flower bed. A nice, familiar save anyway.

He's pretty sure he'll be asking for it if he makes a habit of it though. Just as he's probably asking for it at the moment. So much for sneaking out of there. Zack still attempts a megawatt smile as he shouts a little overly loud and with maybe a crack in his voice. ] Oh! Uh, hey, Aerith! Breakfast in bed? You shouldn't have!

[ Cause he was totally getting up for that, right??? Right. ]

[ he is absolutely, definitely asking for it. aerith is clearly suspicious, her eyes narrowed as she glances up and down his body. he's sitting up, and he looks comfortable enough, but his injuries were substantial.. there's no way he's ready to be up and about, even with her cure spells to knit the wounds together. healing can only go so far, he'll need some decent rest and recuperation to see himself well again.

and he sure doesn't seem to be resting!! ]

Mmhmm.

[ she hums, skeptically, gently kicking the door closed with her heel as she steps further into the room, setting the tray down on the table beside the bed. it's simple fare - eggs and toast, with two slices of bacon, and a cup of warm tea. ]

Should we skip the pretending-not-to-be-getting-up and skip right to the scolding?

[ The longer she stares him down, the more he can feel his face heat up like he'd just gotten caught by his mom while putting his hand in the cookie jar. He finally clears his throat at that question and shakes his head slowly. ]

Or we could, you know. Skip the scolding, too, while we're at it? [ Maybe if he smiles ever brighter, she'll leave him off the hook? He's not sure. He hopes she will though. He even tries for the good ol' clapping his hands together and tilting his head trick. Might have winced partway anyway. ]

(ooc: Also, just a heads up! I will be busy from Thursday-Tuesday, so don't sweat if I don't end up tagging you back for a while! I have a friend visiting/am going to a con! )

[ When they had first met, things had been different--everything that had happened in the labs had happened so fast that there hadn't really been a chance to react to it. Everything with Angeal, and Sephiroth, and even Genesis, had been almost too overwhelming to try to handle all at once, too confusing to try to figure out, too complicated to puzzle out. Falling into a bed of warm flowers, with a soft voice calling out to him: maybe that had been something of a safe space, a few hours of a long Midgar night where he didn't have to think about how everything else around him had been falling apart, where Aerith told him how she wouldn't mind it so much if the sky looked like his poisoned eyes. There had been a comfort there, in knowing that even for a little bit, he could just be him, and nothing else had been expected of him. He could find some sliver of happiness, there.

And he'd tried, hadn't he? Angeal had wanted him to be his honor, and Angeal had wanted him to put the sword to good use, and he'd been a good SOLDIER, encouraging recruits and speaking to trainees and wearing the bright smile he always had, as though nothing wrong had really happened. He'd tried to do good, tried to be brave, tried to let things roll off his shoulders the way he had before, when things hadn't been so serious; he'd tried not to give into the fear, the uncertainty, the gaping hole left behind by a mentor who shouldn't have gone out the way he had. He'd tried to live life like he'd wanted to: he'd tried to be a hero.

But sometimes, late at night, it became too hard to do any of that. Sometimes, it became too hard to sleep, too hard to toss and turn in his room and not find himself waking up from smothered sleep, soaked in sweat. Sometimes, despite knowing better, he'd think of calling up Aerith, sending her a message at the stark hours of the morning to see if she could also maybe be awake.

And this time, of course, he's a full on idiot: because this time, he's standing in the tall grass outside of Aerith's house at far past midnight, trying to decide if he can really scale the side of her house or if her mother will wake up and scream at him.

In the end, he goes the safer route--he takes a few careful steps out into the flowers around the house, pockets a few small little pebbles and runs them between his fingers as he stalks his way back, nodding to himself as he counts the windows again to ensure that he's aiming for Aerith. Then, it's just a matter of tossing those pebbles at her window: they tap and rattle against the glass, a tick-tick-tick sound that hopefully will get her attention if she's awake; and if she isn't, well, then it's no harm done.

Like a puppy that's eager to see the face of its master, he waits underneath her window, head craned up at it, his lips pulled up into a hesitant smile to see if she opens it up. ]

[ as luck would have it, aerith is awake.

there's no pressing matter that keeps her up this night, no heavy thoughts to deny her sleep. there's simply a book that she is very invested in, a tale of adventure and intrigue, romance and tragedy.. it has it all! she reads in bed, by the light of a small lamp, comfortable in her nightdress with her feet tucked beneath the blankets and a cup of tea, cooled and half-drunk, on the rickety bedside table.

at first she does not hear the tapping, for how deeply she is buried in the story, but it's too insistent a sound for her to ignore for too long.

startled, aerith's head snaps up, and she glances left and right, searching for the source of the sound - have the mice gotten in again? no, no it's coming from the window. closing her book, aerith sets it onto the nightstand beside her teacup before getting to her feet, and moving toward the window just as another stone tinks against the glass. what in the world..?

her confusion shifts quickly to warm and welcome happiness as she squints through the darkness to find zack, standing beneath her window like a lost puppy dog, a pebble still in hand; she can't help but feel like a princess in a faery tale. the window creaks open, and she leans onto the sill, whispering into the night, hopefully loud enough to be heard. ]

Well, if it isn't my Prince Charming!

[ Fear wells up inside him for a moment, when there's no reaction to the pebbles that tap at the window--quickly, his gaze shoots across the top floor of the house, frantically counting, but no matter how many times he does it, he ends up with the same number. Could he have really messed up? Could it be that Elmyra is rousing herself out of bed to shoot open the shutters and yell at him for being a total creep? Could he come up with some sort of plausible excuse? Like that he wanted to make sure Aerith was safely in bed, or like he wanted to make sure that everything was okay at the house, or--

Luckily, when the window creaks open, it isn't an angry mother that he sees, staring down at him. It's Aerith's slightly tousled hair, strands of it dripping against the window sill as she whispers out to him. Immediately, he stands up on his toes, like doing so will somehow bring them closer together; he can't help the relieved smile that fits across his features, like he's just so happy to see her he nearly forgets why he'd come out this way in the first place. ]

That's me! [ It starts, at first, as a shout--that he immediately tempers down into a whisper, his shoulders jerking with the realization. ] Ah, crap...

[ With a swallow, he glances at the other windows of the house, but nothing lights up, and so he continues, cupping his hands around his mouth. ]

Okay, so then, uh... Yeah, dear princess! [ His eyes are bright, warm with the mako and amusement. ] Princess, let down your hair...!

[ It won't really reach the ground--Aerith's hair has been growing steadily, but the twist of it looks hardly enough to even go to the first floor of the house, nevermind drape along the ground. He'd just read a story once, about a beautiful princess in a tower, dropping her braid for a prince to come and rescue her; and he has an idea, if Aerith decides to play along with him. ]
