Just as often, there's a romantic undertone, as well. For what could connect anyone more than the sharing of blood, of the dark gift? Comment with your character, preferences, etc. Reply to others. Perhaps even to both of you, as well. † DYSFUNCTIONAL → There's a lot of bad blood between you, yet you can't hate each other fully. † FORBIDDEN → Any sort of relationship beyond the vampiric-familial would be frowned upon by both human society and the underworld. † LOVERS → Why not? No one else will understand you like they do, and you probably won't have to worry about outliving them.

[The truth of the matter is that time was never going to be on their side. Experiments needed it the most of all - time to plan, the time to develop, to execute, to view results, to replicate, to progress - and while things were promising, the one they needed to conduct most was impossible to engage in. (There was no way a lung biopsy was going to work. Absolutely not. It'd leave Viktor dead first and then would be the point?) The work with the other tissue confirmed that Alucard's blood (half of Dracula's, with all the power that held) could rapidly heal whatever it came into contact with. The problem was that the blood used itself up in that healing. Diseased tissue could return in time.

Really the liklihood is if we stab your lungs full of my blood, it's going to just be worse, not better was the last protest Alucard tried to register. It was be reckless or dead now, and all signs meant that reckless was better than dead.

So it had gone. First the reasonable version - deep needles full of dhampir blood right into the lungs. Then Alucard being proven right. A day that saw Viktor moving about better than ever. Two days of decline. A third that had him back where they started.

Untenable was the agreement. So a blood transfusion it had to be. Old fashioned, but more correct for how turning worked. There still had to be a bite though, and Alucard accomplished that with too sharp teeth and Viktor's inner elbow. (It was important to make this as clinical as possible.) A needle in both their arms, a connection, a pint and--

--and what lay ahead after two days of waiting. Alucard had not strayed from the lab at any rate, save going to get food or using the equipment to cook little things. Right now he's heating broth over a burner and waiting for any sound from Viktor that he's awake.]

She didn't want to get involved. She'd wiped her hands of Steve Rogers and his calls for help about five minutes after she watched Steve accept a pardon for himself and a posthumous pardon for Sam and Bucky. Thanos snapped half of life out of existence, Steve Rogers walks his pretty blond self back into the hearts of Congress, and Sharon is watching it happen on a shitty ass television in Siberia. Because he didn't care. None of the Avengers did. Used vamps and tossed them aside. The next five years come and go, and Sharon slowly builds her strength back up. On her own. As her bloodline always has had to do.
So when everyone comes back, and then the news starts talking about a rogue Avenger terrorising small town New Jersey- She did not want to get involved
"Tell me why I'm here then," she mutters to herself, as she slides into one of the SWORD trucks, and joins the line of military vehicles heading for the disintegrating Hex. "I don't even like her, I don't like the Avengers, and I fucking hate magic." With the hex shrinking, and the town going back to normal, Sharon doesn't bother trying to follow the other SWORD vehicles once she's inside. Instead, she follows her nose.
"Huh," she says, looking at the suburban house and the couple standing in the front window. Nighttime still, in the Hex, so even if it's risky, Sharon gets out of the van and starts the walk up to the door. "Guess I make house calls now."
