1. proposal {
1. park - you've been planning this proposal for awhile and have taken your sweetheart to a nice secluded area in the park. are they going to say yes or leave you in the dust?

2. house - dimmed lights, candles, home made dinner. it's obvious you've fixed yourself up for something tonight. let's see if your lover catches on before the question is popped.

3. public event - perhaps you're one who wants to gain a lot of attention; maybe your significant other doesn't as much. either way, this goes from writing their message in the sky with an airplane to something like a flash mob ensemble with others involved.

4. restaurant - nothing romantic like taking them out somewhere ritzy and hiding the rings in that glass of expensive wine.

5. car - you've driven them somewhere nostalgic or meaningful either to you or each other, or perhaps just a good view overlooking the city cause maybe you had no other idea how to do it or couldn't afford anything else.

2. marriage {
1. traditional - both parties have agreed and said yes, and everything goes well just like in the fairy tales you've always dreamed of.

2. arranged - you had no say so in this but somebody else like your parents did. you've never seen this person before until you walk down the aisle. what are your thoughts? are you nervous? what if you two don't get along? looks like you have to deal with it either way. enjoy?

3. elope - nothing fancy. you know, they do make drive thru chapels or perhaps you're just going to experience the excitement of meeting up at the court. all and all, it doesn't matter, just so you have your sweetheart to yourself.

4. shotgun - congrats, somebody is pregnant. there's only one more thing left to do now..

5. disaster - looks like somebody forgot the rings! never mind the fact the maid of honor is having a wardrobe malfunction or that soon to be father in law is causing a scene of some sort.

3. after marriage {
1. honeymoon night - self explanatory! come on, you know what this means. it just wouldn't be the same without this option.

2. new addition - it could be a pregnancy or bringing home a new child, or something as simple as a new pet goldfish.

3. house purchase - after months of living in a trashy apartment, you're both about to sign the dotted line and move into your new place.

4. argument - deep, relationship sort of arguments or something petty like who drank all the milk; it's up to you!

5. divorce - somebody has had enough of this and is ready to move on. how will it all go down?

"Oh...." he smiled despite the pain. "That's real sweet of her. So we're close...that's good. And you and Dad? Always at each others throats or did that get better too?"

"Yeah. We normally have dinner over there once a week or so. Umm me and dad used to fight a lot before I went to college. He wanted me to be a mechanic like the two of you. Once I actually went to Stanford and he saw how happy I was he dropped it." He took the blanket out carefully, shoving the paperwork back down into the bottom of the basket before tossing it at Dean. "She wished you could have come to pick up this stuff. I told her you were still hungover from last night." He paused, grabbing the whiskey and taking another swig before heading into the bedroom.

"And their happy," dean meant it as a question but he could see it, remember them together. "And you're happy....I'm....I'm real glad you're happy Sam, you deserve it."

"So do you, Dean." He called over his shoulder. Once in the bedroom he sat the basket down, pulling out the photo album. The cover was a picture of Sam and Dean when they were kids sitting in a hammock together while Sam read to Dean. It had been one of his favorite things to do as a kid. He pulled out the adoption information too, looking at it before walking to the dresser and putting it face down on top.

"I don't know about that..." he mumbled, following after Sam do he could lay down for a bit. He paused when he saw the photo album, expression going from confused to happy. "God mom was a ninja with the camera."

He looked over, smiling and nodding. "She was good at it. Still is." He walked back to the bed, picking up the album and sitting down. He motioned for Dean to sit next to him. "Dad put a hammock in the backyard when I was 3. Mom said we used to love playing in it." He pointed to the photo. "Once I was old enough to read we would lay in the hammock and I would practice reading with you."

He opened the photo album, showing pictures of them when Sam was a baby and as they grew up together. He pointed out different pictures, laughing. Suddenly he came to a photo, tensing. It was a picture of them kissing. "Maybe I should put this up now."

Dean just smirked as he listened to Sam, different images connecting to new memories but he let it slide, it was nice to relive a childhood that wasn't full of violence and death. When they reached the kissing picture Dean just responded without thinking. "That was right before you got on the plane to go back to California. I was making fun of you for getting all emotional, you were only gonna be gone for like a month but honestly I was convinced you were gonba find somebody smart and more interesting there."

"We hadn't been apart yet, shut up." He nudged Dean with his shoulder, biting his lip. "I could never have found someone better than you..." He brushed a finger over the picture before turning the page and groaning. "Oh god she put this in here." He blushed brightly and made a face. Dean was looking up at the camera with a big smile while Sam was passed out with his head in Dean's lap. His hair was a mess and the rest of his body was sprawled across their parents couch.

Dean laughed, grabbing the whiskey bottle from Sam. "No offense dude? You such at drinking. Couple glasses of whine and you're gone."

"Shut up! I can handle it better now." He leaned over, trying to grab the bottle back. "You're an ass." He smiled brightly. "If mom only put embarrassing picture of me in here I am going to be pissed." He laughed, going to turn the next page. It had other pictures of them covering it, but one stood out. He tapped it with his finger. "HA! Remember this?" In the picture Dean was covered in cake and frosting, Sam's hands also covered in the stuff and they were both laughing. "I remember cleaning you up after..." He blurted before biting his lip to stop himself.

"You kidding? That was the tradition I was most excited about....it always looked nice in movies though.". He grinned up at Sam but the smile slipped when he realized what was happening. He was remembering their wedding....his wedding to his baby brother.

He turned the page again and there it was. The center of the page was their wedding photo and around it was all the pictures from that day of them. Both of them getting ready, standing at the alter, even exchanging rings and kissing. It was all there and suddenly Sam shut the book, tears filling his eyes once more. He did grab the bottle of whiskey this time, gulping down a mouthful as he put the book down and stood up.

He felt like he should say something but he had nothing. He sat there staring at the bedspread with wide eyes, running a hand through his hair as they're entire wedding played itself out in his head. That wasn't right though, that never happened. He tried to think of his other life and hissed in pain.

When he heard Dean hiss he turned, looking down at him. "Are you ok, Dean?" He chewed on his lip, shifting slightly.

"Yeah....yeah just a headache....things are getting jumbled in here. I remember the wedding though..."

"Oh. Oh! Ummm yeah. It was a really nice day." He shrugged a shoulder before taking another swig of whiskey, handing the bottle back. He was really starting to feel the effects of the whiskey and he hadn't even drunk that much. "You know..." He dropped back on the bed, putting a little distance between them. "I almost did go through with it...."

"Go through with what?" he grabbed the bottle, chugging for almost 20 seconds before he put it down again. He didn't know what to do with this, he wasn't just seeing their life together he was feeling it too and it was starting to freak him out.

"Getting married to you." He spoke quietly, words slurring just slightly. "Dad had to knock some sense into me. He...he came in when I was supposed to be getting ready and I was sitting there having a panic attack. I kept telling him I wasn't any good for you. I mean, at the time I was going through addiction. Mom and dad didn't know until then. You knew and you tried so hard to help me stop popping pills. I was so stressed out all the time...I thought I would just be hurting you in the end."

Dean cringed hearing that this seemingly almost perfect world wasn't so perfect after all. "Addict here too huh? Well I guess pills are better than demon blood....and you seem clean now and we just got a house so we must be doing good."

He nodded, closing his eyes. "I cleaned up shortly after we got married. It was hard at first. I fought just to fight because I was hurting so bad. It brought us closer together though." He brushed his fingers through his hair. He sighed before speaking, blurting out without really thinking. "Mom said you'd started talking to her about adoption. You didn't want to tell me because you wanted it to be a surprise."

Dean stared up at him, confused and horrified for a minute until his mind started filling in the gaps. "I'm...umm.." he swallowed nervously. "Yeah, she wasn't supposed to tell you. I didn't want you to think we were moving to fast, thinking about kids when we just got a place but I wanted to look into it."

He shook his head, pushing his fingers through his hair roughly. He reached for the bottle, swigging back quite a lot before wiping his hand over his mouth. "I wouldn't have thought that. I've wanted us to have a family for...a long time." He pressed his fingers over his eyes, trying to stop the tears.

"Me too..." he whispered, voice cracking as he tried to figure out who the hell he really was.? This was a guy, screw that this was his brother but the thoughts running through his head right now. He looked up at the other man with wide scared eyes. "Sammy..."

"Yeah Dean?" He asked, dropping his hand and looking at the man. He saw the scared look and frowned. "I wish I could send you back. I...I'm sorry you got stuck with me."

"Same goes for you...you had a good life and didn't deserve this.". He stood up and turned for the door, trying to ignore the tears in his eyes. "I should go, save you the pain of all this shit.". But that was his husband....brother....he couldn't leave him.
