[ The first time she'd shared a bed with Ferdinand hadn't been what she'd expected. Spending the night in a man's room wasn't something that a noblewoman should do, but after the most recent battle she didn't want to be alone. At first she really had meant just to share a pot of tea with him, maybe chat some to clear her mind under the guise of checking on him before heading back down the hall to her room, but in the end she found herself dozing off while they laid there. Fully clothed and just talking through the early evening.

When she first starts to pull into consciousness, her eyes stay closed. Simply enjoying the warmth of the blanket tugged up to her chin. Until she realizes that this fragrance isn't the usual one she spreads on her sheets. The smell is comforting. Warm. With the room still so dark that she's sure that at the latest it's early, early morning.

Her head is on his chest, and while she isn't sure when that happened, she does know that she's not inclined to move just yet. So instead her head shifts, her eyes opening just enough to peek up at him. The dim candlelight just enough to compliment his features. ]
