The (possibly AU) Sibling Incest Meme

Incest is, despite its taboo nature in most societies, actually a pretty popular convention in both romantic fiction and works of a more erotic bent, in everything from period or fantasy pieces to series taking place in places like modern day Japan. Still, the most common configuration in these fictions are the pairing of siblings. Perhaps this is because of the usual lack of age difference and power dynamic that exists in child/adult relative pairings, though this is not always the case. Because of this, a sexual or romantic relationship between siblings can almost seem, well, romantic in the right light. Of course, more often than not, there's a dark side under the veneer of forbidden love.

This meme is for those who would like to play out that, either the darkness or the light - or both.

[A trip. By all means, a trip should be fun. But up until just recently Yuuma seemed to be upset by something. Aoba couldn't figure out what it was, but it wasn't until Yuuma suggested this trip did his mood start to improve.

Shouldn't he be happy for her, though? Finally making friends at school, and talking about traveling away now that they've graduated (courtesy of the friends who put the idea in her head). Yuuma didn't seem like he wanted to leave, but being apart for some time is okay. Isn't it? She'll always come back.

Aoba doesn't want to feel too suspicious of her little brother, though. After all, he's always been so kind and sweet with her. They've always been very close, and... have done a few things siblings probably shouldn't have. But they'll grow out of it, right? Besides, this whole getaway is framed as a little celebratory outing. They're both out of school now and just have to decide where to go from here. And it's nice! He picked a little isolated cabin with a natural hot spring. Not a full onsen ryokan, but close enough. It's more private, and Aoba is a good cook so they can prepare their own food.

And so with a suitcase of clothes for an extended weekend (closer to a week, really) and plenty of bags of food supplies and toiletries they're all set for a nice little time by themselves. Once they're inside Aoba will focus on putting all the perishable food away first.]

I can't believe you found a place like this. It'll be quite a walk back to town if we need anything.

[ Yuuma couldn't take it any longer.

This sort of thing—he's done it numerous times in the past. It’s become ridiculously easy to insert himself in his sister’s affairs, to control who exactly she’s speaking to, what she plans for herself, and where she goes. There’s never truly been a time where Aoba was in absolute control of her life, not really. And being the quiet, observant person that Yuuma is, he’s done his very best to make sure that she’ll never become aware of that fact.

It really boils down to a single reason: Yuuma cannot bear to be apart from his beloved sister.

He was born into this world to love her, to be with her. He doesn’t care about anything—or anyone—else. His own interests and hobbies will never amount to her level of significance, and Yuuma has long since accepted this. So it only makes sense, doesn’t it? That he delicately arranges the world around his sister, only giving her the illusion of choice. Because she can’t leave him; never. Yuuma will do everything in his power to keep Aoba at his side.

And with those thoughts in mind, he planned this ‘trip’ for them. He set them up somewhere secluded, far away from others and without a single disturbance. It would be only them two for as far as a week—plenty of time to wear Aoba down and cut away her ties to the outside world.

After all... it was due to the encouragement of Aoba’s friends that she wanted to travel away. ]

Mm. It was lucky. [ A lie, of course. Yuuma spent quite a while selecting a place for them to stay. ] I’ve never been to a place like this before.

[ He watches her pack away their food, and then approaches her side to help. As his hand reaches out to pick up a fresh container of strawberries, their fingers lightly brush together. ]

But I think... we have everything we need here. Right, onee-chan?

[The brief touch makes her heart leap. It's been quite a while since they've been truly alone with each other. Aoba has been thinking that maybe, just maybe, they can grow out of this and be 'normal'. However that continues to be difficult. The soft brush of his knuckles against the back of her hand, the way his skirt flutters around his thighs, and Yuuma's irresistibly round cheeks all continue to reel her back in. Hooked like a fish knowingly taking the bait.]

Yeah... you were pretty insistent on making sure we were completely prepared. Your diligence has been very admirable.

[ Yuuma speaks in his usual soft voice, peeking over at Aoba from behind his bangs. She hadn't pulled away when they touched, as simple of a touch as it was, and he revels in it. He steps back with the strawberries in his hands, pausing. His display of hesitance is a mixture of his true feelings and calculation; even Yuuma is unsure at times just how much is real and what isn't. ]

[ Yuuma lowers his chin, looking up at Aoba from beneath his curtain of bangs. They create a shadow over his blue eyes, darkening them slightly. Still, his cherub-like features remain. ]

I want a different reward. [ One hand pulls away from the carton of strawberries to touch her wrist. ] I spent a long time finding this place for us... I also saved up my money, too. It was difficult, and I don't know when I can be with Onee-chan like this again.

[ He effortlessly plays the part of a clingy little brother. ]

[And just like that her heart leaps up into her throat. Everything about her brother is cute. But she has to be strong! If she keeps giving in they'll never be able to be "normal". Though the fact that Yuuma insists this may be one of the last times, well... Perhaps he's accepted it? Perhaps this is one last fling before they say goodbye?

It's hard to deny that. Aoba's cheeks flush with color and heat. Her eyes glance away before making up her mind. It's then that she steps in and takes the container of berries from him.]

[And while he may seem to be the one nearly begging for it... It would be a lie if Aoba said she didn't want to. Perhaps a part of her will always yearn for Yuuma, but she hopes that part will shrink over the years.]

Aoba's fingers touch his again as she takes the strawberries from him, and he inhales silently. Yuuma doesn't miss the way her cheeks blossom pink, either. Aoba is just as aware of him as he is her—and with a week ahead of them, together and alone, she'll be unable to separate from him. ]

[ Satisfied, he steps away from her and resumes putting away the groceries. It's after he shelves a container of black tea that Yuuma steps back, bowing politely before making way to the bedroom. 'I'm going to unpack my suitcase,' he says, and with a small feeling of trepidation, he does just that.

One pair, two, three... Soon his frilly panties are all laid out on the mattress. He'll put those away last, after Aoba's caught a glimpse of them. ]
