The Great Day for a Picnic Meme

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and all's well with the world. Time to pick out a secluded spot and settle down for a lovely open-air picnic with company. Maybe there's a pond where you can go swimming afterwards, or a tree where you can rest in the shade and doze. So post with your character/canon and any dietary or situational preferences, and then tag others!

If you want to add some complications, use the RNG to choose a number 1 to 8 for the scenario of your choice:

1) One of you forgot to bring that one special thing (a bathing suit, silverware, engagement ring, or X). Do you go get it, or improvise?
2) Rainstorm - run for cover or risk getting all wet!
3) Insects arrive, wanting to sample the food. Are they ants (army, civilian, giant mutant, talking)? Or perhaps bees (singing, dancing, killer)?
4) A wind storm is blowing away all the picnic items! Grab everything you can...including your partner.
5) Magical food! Maybe one sip of the lemonade makes you drunk. Maybe the apple cobbler gives you telepathy. Or anything else you can dream up.
6) POOF! You are now both teddy bears.
7) The picnic is in an unusual location/time: on the dust-drifts of the Moon, in a war zone, during the end of the world, or some other choice.
8) Everything is perfect for a picnic, except (choose your own adventure)

[ While champagne is an awful offender of making one look like a fool, Julia rather prefers not the dry taste that reminds her of a dessert or the lingering feeling of the silence after a long trip during the daytime, but in time, she chooses to pursue moments which champagne is rather called for―fortunately, for her, those moments are very few―and within the right realms, she can possibly enjoy the taste of rosé champagne paired with a colourful selection of fresh fruit.

Her fingers wrap around a peach, letting in weigh in her hand for a moment, before a apathetic scoff rises from her lips. Her companion during this luncheon was welcomed company (although reminding her a little too much of Sebastian and his boring antics of drinking in his room only to stumble down the stairs at dinner time and sleeping for the rest of the day) for at least she held some interesting conniptions toward the glorified boredom that seemed to fall over the summer fields.

She raises the peach to her mouth for a moment―glass of champagne in the other hand, legs folded beneath her and crossed at the ankles―before deciding that it is not yet worthy of such an endeavor to be devoured. ]

Do you think, perhaps, that you ever grow tired of excessive drinking? Not that there is much else to do, but surely it must bore you at times to drone on and one, day after day, with nothing but the similar merges of alcohol's taste.
