[ Between Myrrh's hearing and her ability to fly, it's hard not to notice... and hard not to see when she's airborne nearby. Of course Diane tried to find somewhere secluded, with lots of tree cover, but she also wasn't going to get herself off with too many trees right up against her - one needs to be comfortable - which led to Myrrh landing on a rocky outcropping a little above the giant.

She was bright red before she even landed, resting her wings for a moment and wondering whether she should just try to quietly move on without being noticed. ]

Despite Steven's coaxing and encouraging, Marc has enjoyed spending his time on the inside a little too much. He barely acknowledged Layla the last time she came over, burying his illogical jealous pangs under a bit of drink when Steven went to sleep. He should be fine with Steven spending time with her, in theory, but. He's not. He should come out and spend more time with her, if that's the case, if he's going to be a frustrated little shit about it. He doesn't want to.

And even though he's content to stay dormant in the deep recesses of his mind, he will, however, perk up and get curious when he notices something's wrong with their body. Usually Steven comes running in having abandoned ship asking Marc to take over without explaining too much. Marc is more than happy to front any situation for Steven. These days though it's happening less and less, with them settled into their daily routine, and he has to climb out of where he's burrowed himself to pay attention to what's happening on the surface again.

It's hot. Or at least, really warm, in the pit of their stomach. He can feel their mouth going dry, tension building in their muscles. Steven's-- making weird noises, again, but. That's kind of normal for him; Marc can't tell if that's the 'we're in imminent danger' weird noises or 'there's some curry splatter on my shirt' weird noises. Steven does seem to be unfocused, drifting off a bit? It's worrying.

The last straw is when he hears his name that Steven whispers out loud before eyebrows furrow deeply and their tongue flicks over their lips. Marc's protective instincts kick in and their reflection in the windowpane turns to assess the situation as he manifests his presence in the outside world.

"Steven, what's happening, are we okay?"
