Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.
Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.
A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!
So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!
Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.

[ By all accounts, they're not traveling far; barely over a day's journey to meet with an associate of Smirke's, which is part of the reason Jonah's even going, in the first place. It's not London's five-day-or-more trip with all its mental and logistical preparations. They haven't even left Scotland.

And yet here they are, taking shelter from an unexpected spring snowstorm inside what was clearly once an inn just off the main road, their driver and his horse gone ahead without the burden of the coach to find the nearest village for food, help, or at least proper kindling. They have a small amount of their own supplies, of course, but God knows when this snow will let up enough for proper travel again.

Suffice it to say, it's cold in here. Jonah's tiny fire in the unkempt hearth seems to somehow be putting out a negative amount of heat, and crouched in front of it, coat pulled tight around him, staring into it, it's becoming more and more difficult not to glance out the wobbly glass windows, edged and piling up with snow, and be struck with the sense that if he moves away from this small beacon of light he'll be utterly buried.

No. Not tonight. Not ever. He refuses.

He looks over to where Benedict has got to. ] Surely that's not all the wood they've left lying about?
