fridge notes

You're sharing a space: a home, an office, a Batcave, whatever. But you're busy and your schedules don't quite match up -- but you have plenty of note paper! Time to leave a note (or two)!
instructions:
- comment with your character name & canon in the subject line + if you just want one-on-one interactions (1:1) or you're open to anything (ota)
- in your top level leave a starter note - a shopping list, a reminder, just a comment, whatever you'd like
- others reply to this note!
- you can "edit" notes by copy/pasting them and striking out words, adding doodles, writing over/under, or just add another note!
- if the commenter is ota, jump in on other people's threads! maybe you're all sharing the space as a group or team! please don't jump into threads if they're marked 1:1!
- do you sign the note or leave it anonymous? do you recognise the handwriting?
- have fun!

[ He looks at Cas a moment, startled, then bursts into laughter. ]
Shut up.
no subject
I guess that's a no.
no subject
You're ridiculous. But man, I had no idea. Why didn't you ever tell me?
no subject
[He takes another drink.]
There is a principle within science that every contact leaves a trace. When two items touch each other, they leave something behind. Your soul and my grace made contact and, once separated, left traces of themselves behind.
[Which is the part that he thinks Dean will have the most trouble with.]
no subject
So you're telling me every Joe schmoe I've shaken hands with has left a 'trace' on me?
[ He's making SUCH a face. ]

no subject
Jeez, thank God.
[ Gross. Gross gross gross. ]
But you're sain cause I was all up inside you, we're stuck on each other like glue?
no subject
....yes. We are...inextricably linked.
no subject
Enough so that you can ward against all angels but you.
[ But not enough that if one dies, the other does too. ]
no subject
[His brothers and sisters would say he was corrupted and tarnished by its presence. A battle wound at the same time respected and repugnant. He wears it with pride.]
And I'm able to make an exception for myself.
no subject
So you literally have...a piece of my soul? Still part of you or whatever?
[ He looks down at himself. Man, he's gonna need another beer. ]
What do I have of you?
no subject
[Some days he doesn't even notice it, and others it sits like a boulder.]
My grace. A very small amount. Smaller than you can imagine.
[But it's there. Even after the Mark. In spite of it.]
no subject
[ He's surprised, obviously. He keeps running his hand over his chest, over his shoulder where the handprint lingers, his brow a little furrowed. He's never noticed it, but maybe that's because he's never really felt completely right after Hell. Not many people would, he guesses. ]
I had no idea. Why didn't you tell me before?
no subject
You were always very particular about "personal space." I thought that knowing there was a piece of me inside of you would feel like a violation. Which was never my intention - to make you uncomfortable.
[Now that Castiel understands humans better and their need for autonomy and the importance of self, he realizes the ways he may have made Dean uncomfortable during those early times.]
no subject
[ He's not really sure how to feel about it, honestly. He's not mad, though. That much he knows. ]
Is it weird knowing you got a piece of me?
no subject
Now though...]
It's...comforting actually.
no subject
Yeah. It kinda is, actually.
[ He pauses, cheeks coloring a little before he shrugs. ]
Means I’m never really alone.
no subject
You aren't, Dean. I can promise you that.
[He gives Dean a small smile.]
no subject
[ He tries to land a joke, because it does seem like they're getting all touchy feely, which is...fine, really, he's just, you know. He has a hard time staying in those moments, can't really appreciate them for what they are because he didn't really grow up with any. ]
no subject
[Although he doesn't look sorry about it. He's still giving Dean a fond smile. He knows that these types of talks aren't Dean's "comfort zone."]
no subject
[ He pauses, then pulls a face. ]
Don't tell anyone I said that.
no subject
Your secret is safe with me.
[It warms him to know that not only has Dean accepted their literal bond but he actually finds it nice. It’s more than he expected.]
no subject
Thanks man. You're the best, you know that?
no subject
His cheeks turn a little pink at Dean’s words]
Thank you, Dean.
[He hardly feels like the best but he appreciates the compliment coming from Dean.]</ small>
You are also the best. I hope you know.
no subject
I dunno about all that. But you're sweet, Cas.
[ Really sweet. ]
